The house was great. It was just as advertised, and had everything we needed. Beautiful view of the lake. The outdoor patio and fire pits were excellent. The hot tub was clean and worked great.

Wonderful property with all amenities. Located conveniently to Charlevoix and other sites we visited. Really enjoyed our stay.

It was okay. The temperatures upstairs was a little uncomfortable because of lack of AC. Couldn’t get the fire pit to work either even after making several attempts. Also disappointed because we had issues with our luggage and our airline-lost stroller was delivered to this property a few hours after we checked out (FedEx sent a photo of it at the front door) and when I asked about it they claimed the cleaning team didn’t find it?

The owners, Bobby and Janet, were very responsive. However, the photos are “glamour" photos most likely taken when everything was new. The photos do not properly reflect the current look and status of the property. We spent a lot of time outside and the property needs maintenance. The patio furniture is older than we were expecting, the cushions were dirty, the landscaping needs a lot of attention, the siding needs to be power washed and the siding behind the grill needs to be replaced. The owners did provide a number of beach towels, and we put those on the furniture outside so we could sit on the furniture. There is air conditioning, however only in 2 of the 4 bedrooms are air conditioned. There is a garage that we had access to, but it was messy which reflects the status of this property.

Lovely yard and outdoor amenities. The kitchen and sun porch were wonderful and we spent a lot of time gazing at the lake. Had some trouble with temperature control in the house. Great location with quick access to both Charlevoix and Petoskey.

a lovely escape

Our family of 6 stayed at this property for a few weeks in July. It was a wonderful trip start to finish. Bobby and Janet were very thoughtful, communicative and accommodating. The backyard space is spectacular. Charlevoix is a dream. We hope to return!

This rental by the water provided my family with a wonderful stay and superb fishing experiences! The town was just a quick drive away, with the Lake beaches only minutes from there and a five-minute trip to the winery and the amazing Argonne House restaurant. Bobby, the owner, proved to be an incredible host and one of the best I've ever rented from. He responded to all of my numerous questions in just a few minutes, and I experienced no communication problems. He showed great attention and thoughtfulness by leaving my family gifts of snacks and water! We had a wonderful experience as a family!
