Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the home clean, well-equipped, spacious, and that we were responsive throughout your stay. We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. We have never previously received complaints regarding the privacy of curtains in the home. The curtains throughout the main home area are intended to allow a bright and airy vacation feel and in the bedrooms we placed privacy curtains. We understand that you personally may feel differently and we respect that. The pool is professionally maintained twice a week, every Tuesday and Friday, at the host’s expense. Because the pool equipment is expensive and not appropriate for guests to operate, we do not ask guests to handle pool maintenance themselves or provide a vacuum to be handledby guests. As with any outdoor pool, small leaves, insects, and other debris can naturally appear between professional cleanings, particularly in Florida. The pool cushions were newly replaced this summer along with handcrafted wood furniture. The pool and backyard are regularly maintained including powerwashing the entire patio. There is some older additional outdoor furniture that guests are not required to use. We do agree that some of the remaining outdoor furniture could be tossed out and will soon, but sometimes larger groups enjoy being able to use it this busy season. The security cameras are clearly disclosed in our listing, and their presence was also communicated to you at initial booking when you had other questions. They are there strictly for safety and security, particularly because the property has a deep pool, and they do not monitor any interior of the home or private areas. The yard was maintained during your stay as in is on a schedule to be maintained. Depending on traffic, the beach can be approximately 10–20 minutes away, but the home is not simply “20 minutes from everything.” We are close to numerous restaurants, shops, grocery stores, major retailers, walking trails, and nature parks. Normally 10 minute drive to Pensacola beach. As for the neighboring property across the street, we agree that it is not maintained to the standard we prefer. Unfortunately, we cannot control how our neighbors maintain their property. We are in a comfortable safe neighborhood where many different people live whom we cannot control how they choose to live or maintain their landscaping. We have hosted many guests who have loved the home and have even returned to stay with us again. We have never received feedback quite like this, and while we appreciate constructive criticism, we feel that several of the comments in this review reflect personal preferences and expectations rather than actual deficiencies with the property. We appreciate the positive comments about the cleanliness, amenities, pool, and our responsiveness, and we will continue making improvements where appropriate as well as maintaining our home to make our guests as comfortable as possible with each stay.

Hi Erica, It is important and we do disclose that we do have them in our listing. It is important for us as well to have them for insurance and liability purposes. We have operated over 4 years not watching anyone as there is no need. We are busy working people with a family, and multiple homes, this is a business. As Rings do protect the home and out of state homeowners every place has them. All hotels and resorts have them as well. To note we also offered you a full refund when you arrived if you waned to leave instead of staying because you are a local resident having a teen party complaining about our security which raised much concern. You chose to stay and then without consulting us unplugged our internet disconnecting our door locks and rings and host your large teen party. Our pool is getting resurfaced this fall 2025 and will be completely redone for future guests to enjoy and I did apologize as it is an older pool and we were working towards that project. Our pool was balanced and completely safe for swimming during your stay. All our vacation families swim and have a great comfortable stay as that is what we provide. They leave behind many rewarding "Thank yous" in our guest book.
