Great condo for a quick trip to Panama City!

I took my teenage son and a friend to the beach for a few days. This condo was perfect for our stay. Clean, comfy, great location! Loved the parking spot that was included! The boys loved staying right on the beach, loved the volleyball nets and the pool. I felt like there were lots of security on the property and felt very safe. Will definitely book here again!

Great View. Elevators to rooms are a nightmare.

The actual room and condo are great, and the location is great. But when this property is booked, the elevators are a nightmare. It takes up to 30 minutes to get up to the room and the elevators are PACKED! I am slightly closterphobic, so take this for what you think it’s worth.

Enjoyed our stay. Wish we would have known that there were chairs and umbrella available in the condo, because we had to bring ours and was inconvenient. I called and ask if there were any at the condo and was told no. Only main complaint is the wait on the elevators. Being on the top floor, you will have to wait longer for them.

Smaller than expected

We enjoyed the place, the amenities and the customer service. The room wasn't as big as we expected. There is no dining room, just a bar stool sitting area with the kitchen. I was also disappointed with the balcony furniture. Overall, as a penthouse room, I expected it to be bigger and nicer.

I gave this four star more for the grounds. Even though the room was nice. The master faucet wouldn’t drain. The master bed frame was broke. We saw a few roaches. One of the bar stools was not safe to sit on. It was disappointing

The condo was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay. The view is great. Walmart is across the street. The pool and hot tub was nice. Security is awesome. But Everytime we opened the balcony door the smell of Marijuana filled the condo. The floors were visibly clean but the children's feet were black from walking around barefoot. There wasn't any broom to sweep with but I did purchase one and left it. I'm not sure if that is allowed. The beach is nice. It doesn't get deep super fast so the kids were able to enjoy it.

Love the property

Pros: beautiful pool, close to restaurants, we had no issues with elevators. Perfect view and price was right. Cons: don’t stay in second bedroom if you like complete silence to sleep-fan to AC unit is very loud. Very little kitchen essentials, very few silverware. Pans are awful. Chairs outside need to be thrown away, they would be dangerous for some people. Shower wasn’t clean. Owners really need to pay attention to details!

Enjoyed Our Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was clean. The kitchen was smaller than what I expected but we made it work. It was plenty big enough for the four of us. Two being kids had their on bathroom which was nice. Beds were comfy. The elevators were a nightmare at times but no fault to rental company Bood that Condo! Was a little disappointed that people weren't wearing mask on elevators, even though signs were posted on all elevators to wear them. All in all we really enjoyed the stay but probably won't stay here because of the parking.

Had a pretty good spring break

The unit was exactly as described though the condominium building itself was less impressive than described. The outdoor pool and beach were very nice. The indoor pool was somewhat shabby, though it did prove useful on the cold days when my kids desperately wanted to swim. The Vrbo property description mentions “the Shores of Panama Spa”. That does not exist. The best I can tell, there may have been a spa in the building circa 2017. The location was great! We were unable to get a rental car due to not reserving soon enough but were able to walk most places and Uber a few times for a small cost. We loved Wonderworks museum/indoor amusement park, Coconut Creek mini golf (both walkable), St. Andrews State Park (5 miles away), and had good meals at Triple J Steak and Seafood (few miles away) and Pineapple Willy’s (next door to condo). We were a little surprised by the number of college students on spring break this week. My estimation is that about 5-10% of the vacationers at Shores of Panama were families, with the other 90-95% being college students. They were rambunctious and drank a lot but were mostly respectful and courteous in our presence. It was nice to be able to walk to Super Walmart for groceries and other necessities.

Condo beautiful/hotel disappointing

This property is as described. I was disappointed that there was no ice maker in the refrigerator, other than that the room was perfect. The hotel on the other hand was very disappointing, it has much potential to be great, but it is poorly managed. You are constantly micromanaged, cant have a drink within 4 feet of the pool. Don’t leave you things lying on the chairs while in the pool or it will all be removed and taken to lost and found. Ur shoes, cups, towels, all of it. You must wear ur wristband or they will threaten to call the police. Pools are closed daily for hours due to potential storms with sunny skies and no clouds in sight, all while parasailing rt outside the hotel on the same beachfront. You cant even sit on the pool deck and must return to ur room. The Elevators, oh the the elevators are so insanely horrible! You wait so long because there are not enough for the size of hotel. I cant express how irritating and crazy this will make you. You must also rent your beach chairs by the day not by the week, no pre rentals and be prepared for beach chairs and umbrellas crammed in front of the rented chairs. At night it’s a big party with kids screaming and shining flashlights til after midnight. We hated it here, but the room was great.

Disappointed

Very disappointed with our stay at Shores of Panama. This is our first and last. Check-in was supposed to be between 4-6pm. I kept calling because we have small children. We were not even called. After 6 I called again and had to request they call the inspector to check status, this was never offered. We didn’t get into the room until close to 7pm because the wait for elevators is terrible. Master room TV not working. Chairs on dining counter (wood chipping off). Did I say elevators are horrible, not enough for the amount of units in Bldg so imagine staying on the PH 😩23rd floor, don’t make same mistake. People who work here are lazy and rude, only few encounters were pleasant. No one is checking armbands at the beach/pool re-entry área. To many people here in midst of COVID, beach chairs are all together not six feet apart. Difficult to get a chair/lounger on the sand, I got lucky getting the last available chair set at the front but people are camping so close to each other and placing their chairs/tents in between. And the last night, someone was parked at our assigned space. No one did anything. Called Book that Condo after hours, they could not do anything either. Positives: Beach is beautiful Big comfortable Apt Bar at pool is nice to have Restaurant at the pool area is good for lunch Pool is nice Mgr at book that condo gave us late checkout out at 12pm.

Stay at Shores of Panama

Very nice resort, my child loved the pool and the beach access! The condo we stayed in was nice and the property company went through was very helpful and nice.
