The Hikers Midnight cabin was a great location for visiting local sights, dining at nearby restaurants, and the Appalachian Rose Farm wedding venue. The cabin was clean, quaint, and provided a quiet, peaceful atmosphere, meeting most of our needs.

Great cabin. Very clean and easy to find (use a map, GPS phases in and out between the mountains). I would definitely stay there again.

Hiker's Midnight was a sweet, simple little hideaway for the week. Our car pulled in the driveway Tuesday afternoon and didn't move until Friday evening. The kitchen is amply equipped. Mini-split cools the whole cabin quickly. Rain shower head was an unexpected little luxury. The wrap-around deck is a great extension of the house. House is ready for pets! We will consider this property for future getaways.

Weekend getaway

The cabin was perfect for my wife and I to get away for a weekend. Quiet and secluded enough that you don’t see other cabins that are around, nice covered deck to sit on and overall a great place to stay

Red river gorge exploring

Overall the cabin was great and we really enjoyed our stay! The bathroom cieling was unnecessarily too short and the space was tight. The bathroom door also opens in and not out so that was tough. Everything else was great!

Loved this property. It was a nice and quiet location between all the attractions. There are some quirks, like the low doorways and ceiling in the bathroom, that might make it difficult for people over 6ft. But everything was manageable for us. I loved the fire pit area and hanging out on the porch while it rained. The kitchen has all the essentials. I'll definitely consider renting again in the future.

The fire pit area was infested with ticks. My husband had at least 7 crawling on him when he came in the first time and the dog had several as well. I have never seen that many let alone from a spot that wasn’t even grassy. The bed frame didn’t support the mattress correctly so the bed was uncomfortable and saggy on the outer 6” of each side. There were stains on the comforter. The smoke detector was missing in the bedroom. We only were left with 1 towel each for the weekend. The chairs for the fire pit were dry rotted and one was broken. Location was good but closer to other cabins than the listing appeared. Overall a pretty disappointing stay.Small adjustments and spraying for ticks would improve this greatly.
