The pace is amazing and has endless amount of trails you can explore with friends or alone it’s the most peaceful place ive been to in many years and the house on top of allOf that is extremely exceptional and impressive what a paradise ! Truly worth the money !

Escape by the River

The house was wonderful and very well stocked with even extra outdoor chairs and extension cords. AC works great, especially important if you are bringing a dog. Would recommend staying here!

Great views especially for bird watching, nice flat and well maintained walking trails. No beach close to the house but the dock is nice, our dog loved the water. Multiple fire pits, plenty of air conditioners, lots of pots, pans, and utensils. We will definitely be coming back again!

Hiram on the Saco

Beautiful spot right on the Saco. Feels very private, but you’re half an hour or less from multiple town centers. Very pretty spot. We would rent again.

The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. The beds were all comfortable and the AC kept it cool during a hot week. It’s a beautiful property with walking trails and a nice dock for kayaks. We kayaked about 20 minutes to the left of the dock and found a great sandy beach area that was perfect for swimming.

Awesome getaway

Beautiful quiet house right on the river with plenty of private well maintained trails throughout the acreage of the property. Well stocked for all your cooking & grilling needs, just bring food and good people.

Great trails on the property. House was clean and well stocked. Communication was great. Loved the 3 season porch! Unfortunately, the river was very low due to lack of rain so the access was not gradual.

We really appreciated the easy check-in as well as the overall cleanliness of the property. The kitchen was well stocked, the bedrooms all had air- conditioners and extra blankets if needed. The design of the home is perfect for the setting, tree plank coffee tables and country lamps. The property is gorgeous and the Saco really provided fishing. tubing, swimming and boating opportunities. We will be back!

The River House

What a beautiful home! Amazing views, lovely trails! Wish I had a horse to take full advantage of all the property! It wasn’t warm enough to swim but the river is so peaceful! We recommend going to Cornish to look at antiques. Bring a kayak if you’ve got one! Would definitely go back!

Beautiful property

The home was great but the property was the real winner! We had such a great time letting our dogs run, play, and swim in the Saco. Our kiddo had a blast with all the space to run! The whole family enjoyed playing in the water! The only thing we noticed that was a concern was broken glass scattered along the walk down to the dock. Definitely hope to stay here again next year.

Peaceful

The River House was the perfect size for our family of 4! We didn’t even need to use the bedroom downstairs! Having 2 bathrooms was wonderful! The view to the river was beautiful! The trails were well kept and easy to get around. It was a wonderful stay if you are looking to get away from the city! A little far from everything but that was the point! Thank you SO much!

Beautiful!

We absolutely loved our stay at The River House. It was everything we have been looking for in a vacation- access to water, the woods, nature, and a cozy house. The house is well appointed and thoughtfully laid out. Beds are comfy and rooms are spacious. Make sure to bring your own toilet paper, paper towels and sponge. The house is situated off a busy road down a long driveway. You can hear the traffic so if you’re looking for silence this isn’t the place for you. It didn’t bother us in the least and the access to the woods & river more than made up for it. We will definitely be back!

The property was everything it was advertised and more.Our family gathered to celebrate my husband's birthday and had a wonderful time.Be sure to check the pantry between the first floor bedroom and bathroom for extra kitchen tools....you won't have to bring anything for cooking. :)

The property was great. Very relaxing if you are looking for some time away and unplug a bit. Much needed reset. The picnic tables we not in good shape and not much outdoor seating but if you bring your own chairs and lots of bug spray you will definitely enjoy the beauty of nature.

Our family first discovered this slice of heaven last summer. We went again this summer and are checking our work schedules for next summer. There are six of us ranging in ages 10-70. All of us love fishing, campfires, river-tubing and swimming. We do them all daily. There is an old drive-in theatre 20 minutes away which we go to once each trip, other than that we never leave the property. The kitchen has all we need to prepare great meals and the screened in porch has a large table with lots of available games to play at night. The property has many private trails that are great for biking around or a quiet morning walk. We love imaging being able to stay for the whole summer!
