Great beautiful space, peaceful with as much to do on site as you want but also close to shopping and fun in Wimberly. Loved it and would love to go back again.

We stayed at The Gathering with our varsity volleyball team. We were playing in a tourney in Wimberley and The Gathering was a fantastic place for our large group. Everything was so smooth and the accommodations were amazing. The girls had a blast with all of the amenities and it couldn’t have been better!

The property surpassed our expectations! Beautifully kept, thoroughly cleaned, and entirely comfortable for a family trip with kids. We loved the thoughtful details sprinkled all around the house as well as the main features like the pool and playground. Before we left we were already talking about planning our return trip. Highly recommend booking this property to start a fun family tradition!

This is a perfect place to have a family gathering. Had everything we needed. Loved that the pool was gated. The host was so helpful throughout the whole stay. Such a family-friendly place. 10/10 would recommend this place for anyone to stay for any occasion

This property was a perfect place for our family of 14 to gather. The teenagers loved all the activities, especially the pickle ball. We especially appreciated having a table at which we could all sit. There are many special touches.

Great place. 14 friends. We had plenty of space and really used it. Pickleball, Frisbee golf, the pool were all great for us. We have an annual trip (over 20 years running) where a bunch of us get together and we usually change venues to get a new experience. We all said we’d be happy stay there again next year

Everyone in our group said, "WOW!" when they walked through the door of the main house. It's beautiful! The kitchen only looks small in the pictures because the rest of the room is huge. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of cookware and dishware. The cabinets are well marked so it's easy to find whatever we needed. We loved that there were multiple seating areas and we could congregate in large or small groups. The bedrooms are comfortable and the wheelchair accessible bedroom was perfect for a disabled family member. We are already talking about a repeat visit!

We had such a wonderful time. The house(s) were perfect for our large and extended family and we took advantage of everything the property had to offer. There was so much to do so no reason to leave for additional entertainment. We will be back for sure!! Thank you.

First of all, thank you for going above and beyond to make our dates possible. Our family group of 20 people, ages 1-75, enjoyed our 4 day reunion at this beautiful property that accommodated all our needs and exceeded our expectations. Everything is just as described in the photos. Everyone enjoyed the pool and the safety fence and gate were much appreciated. The blue tooth speakers in the party barn and pool area were so much fun and easy to use. Watching the wildlife and enjoying all the outdoor games kept everyone entertained. We had a couple of nights of clear skies and set up our telescopes on the stargazing deck! Amazing! There’s so much room in the house and we loved the big dining table for mealtime! This was a perfect place for our reunion and we would definitely come back here when we can get together again.

Coolest place to stay!

Our family of 19 (adults and children) stayed here as a relaxing getaway to honor one of dear family members. We played pool and also swam in the pool. Our family enjoyed bocce ball, pickleball, basketball, Cornhole, washers, stargazing, and disc golf. We loved the long tables to play board games and share meals together. Both the main house and the cottage have coffee bars and nice kitchens. This was a dream place! place!plplace!,washe,basketball,strnhole

Unforgettable!

A family gathering to remember! From the moment we made our booking, everything went so smoothly. The property was even better than described, felt like home, comfortable, welcoming, expansive, and stocked with so many things that we really only had to bring our favorite food/goodies. The Hostie team was super responsive to us, we had no trouble at all. I can’t think of anything I would change except to have had more time in this wonderful place. Hope to be back in the future! Highly recommend The Gathering! Thank you!

The Gathering [Main House & Cottage]

July 2-6, 2025. The Gathering and Cottage were amazing. The quick responses and check in throughout the stay were very much appreciated. The only think I would suggest is when you have a large group of people it would have been very convenient if the kitchen had at least 2 trash bins. We cooked in the kitchen every day for all meals, and we accumulated a lot of trash and spent a lot of time in the rain taking the trash bags to the large bin that is housed at the gate. If additional trash bins are not allowed in the kitchen perhaps place another one in the laundry room. Again, the Gathering was amazing, due to the rain, we did not get to enjoy all of the outdoor amenities in the sunshine; we hope to return and get that outdoors experience. Thanks, Carm Smith
