If you are looking for a place to "Get away to", maybe to see the fall colors, you have found the place. Any time of year is a wonderful time to enjoy it here at Stones Throw Retreat..Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter!

Stay comfortable year-round at Stones Throw Retreat, a lovely lake home with 1 master bedroom and a loft sleeping area. Stones Throw Retreat features 3 queens and 1 twin bed, ensuring a comfortable stay. Nestled up in the trees, this phenomenal rental is perfect for guests seeking a tranquil getaway. With amenities like a "Cooks" kitchen, heating, AC, washer and dryer, a charcoal grill, WiFi, 3 TVs with streaming boxes, sauna and a hot tub you'll have everything you need for a delightful stay. The 2 bathrooms offer additional convenience with a shower and a bathtub. Hair dryers are provided as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

Whether you're relaxing by the fireplace in the living room or reading a book in the loft, or watching TV in the walk-out basement, the additional spaces provide flexibility and comfort. The hot tub is on the deck running year-round and a sauna in the lower level. Fall in love with Stones Throw Retreat and enjoy the magic it has to offer.

We are less than 1/4 mile from the ATV/Snowmobile trail system -https://www.burnettcountywi.gov/364/Trail-Updates. There is always something to do in Burnett County WI - check out the Tourism website at www.burnettcountyfun.com.

Winter has snow shoeing, X-Country skiing, snowmobiling and maybe going to a meat raffle! We added a sledding hill from under the deck down to the lake as well as a skating rink on the lake. Summer boasts hanging in the lake, golf, pickleball, tennis, biking, etc! The hiking is great with forest and many trails in the area.

We are licensed by the State of Wisconsin and Burnett County.

It is the renter’s responsibility to check WI DNRs website for fire danger and burning restrictions prior to using the outdoor fire pit. Search: WI DNR fire restrictions.

There is no public access on this lake - it is a 35 acre, quiet, no wake lake. We have a paddle boat, 2 kayaks, 1 canoe and a paddleboard.

Excellent place to stay! The cabin is beautiful, cozy, and very comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there are plenty of games, kayaks, and everything you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The sauna and hot tub make it an especially wonderful place for a weekend escape.Susan was very attentive and responsive whenever we had questions.The view was definitely the highlight! The small, peaceful lake makes the setting feel incredibly relaxing and special. We would absolutely love to come back!

We had a really nice time. The hostess was very helpful, providing everything we needed and even a few extras like binoculars and blue tooth speaker. Sitting in the jacuzzi toward evening we enjoyed hearing loons and whippoorwill and during the day we were entertained by the constant coming and going of hummingbirds. It was our grandson’s first time fishing and he had a blast! There’s good fishing for both kids and adults. It was very quiet and relaxing. Would like to make it an annual event.

Excellent Place to Stay

Great communication, very clean, lots of activities, very well stocked cabin, many towels available for use. Our family enjoyed spending time just at the cabin without needing to leave.

The cabin is very comfortable with a great view of the lake. We enjoyed our stay and so did the pups.The hot tub, sauna (including a jump in the lake), paddle board and kayaking were all very refreshing!We enjoyed hiking the Bear Lake loop trails. The trumpeter swams were a nice bonus.We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back next year.

We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our next visit! Everything about the home and property was picturesque. The house itself was very clean and had everything you could need from the kitchen to the extra towels to the hot tub and sauna, games upstairs etc. We could not get over the beautiful views. I think the majority of the photos taken weren’t of us, it was of the property! We loved having coffee on the deck in the mornings. We came to experience the fall colors and not only were there colors galore, the weather was also amazing. We loved that the home was dog friendly, as did our dogs. They got to experience the lake and even take a ride on the paddleboat. There was a swan couple on the water one evening as well. Susan was very communicative, friendly, quick to respond and an exceptional host. The property is very quiet, peaceful and a quintessential getaway. The surrounding community was small, friendly and also had options for things to do. We went to a quilt show at the local high school and shopped the local shops. My husband took a bike ride and said it was beautiful and scenic. We are looking forward coming back to hike trails, experience the different seasons at this stunning property as well as having a spot for a getaway. I cannot speak highly enough of the home, property as well as our hosts. This has been our top trip using VRBO. The home is exactly as the pictures show, CLEAN, has everything you need and the property is stunning. Thank you!

We loved everything about this place. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house had everything we needed. The shoreline was nice and sandy which was great for us and our dogs. The hot tub and sauna were a nice bonus too. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed every moment! The lake is so quiet and beautiful, the home is outfitted with anything you would need-both indoor and outdoor fun. Between the lake, the sauna, the hot tub and the fire pit, we slept well every night. We highly recommend this lovely home.

The kitchen was beautiful and clean, easy to use and had everything we could need! The space was a great get away from technology and to connect with nature, beautiful small lake with lovely homes near that respected the peace and quiet. The bathrooms are also just as clean, and fully stocked with needed things, thank you! one comment that could make the experience better is to clean the deck of the debris, the tress drops a lot of foliage and made it hard not to track things into the house, along with the cleaning feet mat provided for the hot tub, as it was just as dirty and I couldn't get the hose to work, that could just be me not putting enough strength in but still, regardless a lovely home and host can't wait to see the basement steps get completed as it is a bit scary going down! Thank you again for having us!

Great Getaway

My wife and kids absolutely loved our stay…the cabin was more than adequately stocked with whatever you may need. The lake was a blast we mostly paddle boarded n swam most of the time. Lastly the views were from a postcard absolutely beautiful

The peace and quiet is on a different tier. I had forgotten what real quiet was. No traffic, no construction, no notifications, having coffee on the deck as hummingbirds zip around by the still lake is something that will stay with me for quite some time. We had three teens and a dog and all were kept entertained and still enough room for alone time. The hot tub was in near constant use and the sauna was refreshing although not everyone's jam. We learned our city dog who intimidates delivery personnel across the metro is a big coward when faced with a body of water. The kids had a blast paddling around the lake and splashing around the float pad. We had a couple nice meals that we were able to prepare in the fully stocked kitchen. As the kids get older, recognizing we don't have an unlimited amount of time to make memories is always front of mind. This was one of the rare weeks that there wasn't the ever-present guilt of the should-have-done-more cycle. We relaxed, we laughed, we played games, we swam, we sweat, we hiked, we watched movies, we ate two pounds of cookies without effort. It was lovely.

Wonderful!

My husband,myself, and our Labrador Cooper, loved our week long stay at the cabin. It exceeded by far any other we've stayed at.It was very well stocked, clean, and we enjoyed the hot tub, charcoal grill, and the tranquility. I loved birdwatching, and the nice view of the lake. We definitely want to come back!

The property was very clean, The kitchen was well stocked for any cooking that you need to do. Beautiful deck with bird watching in your chairs. Very quiet, serene, and beautiful scenery. Had great sunrise and sunset with almost a full moon with Saturn. The host was incredible with a response if you had questions. I would love to come back to see this place in the winter. We live in the Twin Cities and I love to play pickleball and golf and cook (the kitchen is a dead giveaway). Up here, we go to Voyager Village Country Club, which is only 20 minutes away from the cabin. Don't forget to make a tee time for golf. There is a small fee for non-members to play pickleball. We love to have people enjoy our home and up north community as much as we do.

Bought this place back in 1987 because of the peaceful lake, space between properties and all the trees.

Great view out to the lake but when you sit on the deck, you are up in the trees. Feeders bring in all kinds of birds, year round. It is just a special place!
