The base fee was added to for TAXES (required by law), CLEANING FEE (very small 12.50 for your stay that helps cover the supplies to clean and the coffee and snacks left for you), VRBO GUEST FEE ( this all vrbo fees I have NO CONTROL over this). There was NO bait and switch here. If you rent any place you pay the same fees. If you had questions about your fees VRBO is always willing to answer. Before you hit reserve you have a chance to review what you are paying before you book. Our place is clean, welcoming and fully stocked. Although our place is small and meager, we work very hard to make our guest stay a great one. You gave 3 stars over something we have no control over.

We’re happy to hear the home was comfortable, quiet, and well-stocked with everything you needed for a convenient overnight stop. We appreciate your feedback about the heating. The home does use electric space heaters, which are listed in the property description, but we’ll take another look to make sure that detail is even more visible for future guests. That said, to ensure comfort, we do block off bookings during the colder winter months when temperatures drop too low for space heaters to be sufficient on their own. As for the neighboring home—thank you for mentioning it. Just to clarify, it is approximately 50 feet away, not 12. The property is in a peaceful, rural neighborhood with plenty of space between homes. While the neighbors do have a trampoline and swing set, the area remains quiet and family-friendly, which we’re glad you experienced during your visit. We truly appreciate your comments and hope the rest of your trip to Florida was just as smooth and relaxing!

Sorry we didn’t get that “10” from you — we’re over here guessing what went wrong like it’s a game of Clue. (Was it the sofa? The shower? Colonel Mustard in the kitchen?) Since no issues were mentioned, we’re left scratching our heads. We work hard to keep things clean, comfy, and ready for travelers — two bathrooms (so no fighting over the mirror), a full kitchen, and beds that don’t fold up on you like a cheap lawn chair. For six people, we think it stacks up pretty nicely compared to hotel prices. Next time, if something’s off, give us a chance to make it right before dropping a “meh” review. Owners really do put in the sweat to make these places shine, and a low rating stings more than stepping on a Lego barefoot at 2 a.m.
