Quando rimani ad Arabi, puoi goderti tutte le cose divertenti che New Orleans ha da offrire, ma torni a dormire ad Arabi senza preoccuparti che qualcuno entri in casa o in macchina. Inoltre, puoi tranquillamente camminare per le strade di notte in questo quartiere. Non rischiare. Trascorri una vacanza senza criminalità soggiornando in questa casa!

Bella casa con 4 camere da letto e 3 bagni situata a un paio di isolati dalla linea di New Orleans nel centro storico di Arabi. La casa si trova in un ampio angolo che offre un ampio parcheggio gratuito. Oltre ad essere a 4 miglia dal quartiere francese, è anche altrettanto vicino a un varo che offre la migliore pesca nel paese. Quindi, resta qualche giorno in più e porta la tua barca o noleggia una guida di pesca. Questa è la zona più sicura della città! A differenza di New Orleans, abbiamo un sacco di poliziotti in Arabi e non tollerano nessuna zattera che viene qui per commettere crimini. Arabi è a St. Bernard Parish (contea). Mia moglie e io amiamo New Orleans. Abbiamo i nostri ristoranti e posti preferiti dove andare a New Orleans, ma adoriamo venire a casa nostra a St. Bernard Parish per dormire tranquillamente di notte in tutta tranquillità.

Si noti inoltre che per essere a 3 miglia (10 minuti in auto) dal quartiere francese, le tariffe sono 1/3 di quella che la stessa casa di dimensioni sarebbe vicino al quartiere.

Good host communication. House is in a great location. Close enough to the city but out of the craziness. Great place to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday during Mardi Gras!

It's a good house for big parties in a safe neighborhood.... but...a) the host never responded to numerous textsb) the house is a bit sparse (and some couches seemed dusty)c) the host didn't provide many basics (no extra toilet paper or paper towels, no shampoo or body wash or soap at all) So if you go in knowing all that then you can get decent value for a four bedroom house.

Thank you for staying with us but I did not receive any texts from you that went unanswered. We provide enough toilet paper and paper towels for a normal 3 day stay. Extended stay guests or larger parties usually understand that they may have to bring additional supplies to meet their needs.

Wonderful location in a great neighborhood!

We were 15 minutes from downtown New Orleans. The house was quite charming with beautiful floors and plenty of space for the 5 of us. Definitely exceeded our expectations!

Lots of space

Enjoyable Experience

Our family enjoyed the space this house had for everyone to be together. The large dining table made a wonderful gathering place for meals and board games. The home is conveniently located to downtown New Orleans which was very helpful, and it has great parking. We had a really enjoyable experience.

Went down for the Browns game. Larry was a great host. Communicated very well. Left us great places to visit while we were there. Location was great. Will stay again.

The property was spacious and located in a truly wonderful neighborhood (Arabi, St. Bernard Parish.) It was generally represented accurately from the VRBO listing with a few minor changes. Overall a great experience.

Birthday trip

What a perfect place for the 7 of us to come together from Florida, Colorado and Iowa to celebrate our birthdays! The house is lovely and spacious and the neighborhood is clean and quiet. We could make short trips to the airport, the grocery store, beignet run, across the lake, the garden district and the zoo!

Perfect!

We had a blast! The house is beautiful. The location is beautiful. Mr. Larry is nothing but amazing. He was always available when we needed him. There was even a play pen for my 1 yr old. We felt at home. Would definitely stay here again.

Great property

First off, this trip was off the hook for my group. The house is big, the neighborhood quiet, and not far from the FQ. It was super clean, all bathrooms had plenty of towels. Beds were quite comfy with clean linens. We made do in the kitchen with what was there. Larry was more than accomdating as a host. 5 stars all around!

Girls Trip for Mardi Gras

The property is clean and safe and worked well for the five of us. It happened to be cold during our stay and it was hard to heat the house up. All the heat went to the upstairs master bedroom while the rest of the house was still quite cold. But we enjoyed it overall and the property had everything g we needed. Great location, too!

I have adjusted the damper to allow more flow from the downstairs vents. This should correct that. We do not get that many cold days down here. Thank you for letting me know. I live near by. I would have adjusted the vent while you were there.

Nice but a little outdated

The house was nice but a bit outdated. The porch was dark coming and going as the motion light does turn on until you are right at the door and the sliding doors need blinds as anyone can see in at night while we were in the living area. The basement bathroom had a weird step down and one of our group fell. Suggestions would be to put up blinds and put someone on that step to show it’s there for safety

Nice neighborhood with plenty of room!

I came to New Orleans with my friends for my bachelorette party. This house was plenty big for the 9 of us who went! We did have some uber drivers tell us we weren’t in a great area but we had no problems whatsoever over the course of our 5 day stay. There was a walmart fairly close by so we were able to get some snacks, drinks, sandwich items, etc to have for when we weren’t eating out. The only con I can really think of is the distance to the French Quarter. We didn’t think it would be as big of a deal but having to to take uber/lyft everytime we wanted to go did add up, especially since we had to take 2 cars due to the size of the group. Overall, great stay and wonderful house!

The house is located in Arabi, LA. It's a couple of blocks from New Orleans and 3 miles to the French Quarter. New Orleans and Arabi are divided by the Army National Guard (Jackson Barracks). There are only two roads that pass through Jackson Barracks into Arabi. Arabi is protected by it's own large sheriff's department. The sheriff's department in Arabi does not allow any of the riff raft that comes from New Orleans. Arabi is not an easy target and the criminals know this. That is why they stay out. When looking at the FBI National Crime map, New Orleans is riddled with crime markers, but Arabi almost has none. I am not exaggerating when I say Arabi is clearly the safest place in the New Orleans area. In Arabi you can walk the streets at night as well as day time without worry. It's like living in a gated community. My property is priced low compared to the French Quarter properties, which makes taking a taxi back and forth more affordable. There is no price on safety. My November guest know this. Thank you so much for staying in my home.

Perfect location for our trip to NOLA

We loved our time in NOLA- being able to stay in a home that was close to the French Quarter but not too close was awesome. What made us choose this home was the dining room, kitchen, and living room areas that were larger than most other homes I considered. We spent most of our time together as a family so these areas were perfect. (Except the couch needs to be retired. Great size but sinking in in some spots) Larry was a great host who responded quickly to any questions I had before trip and during trip. If you plan to do a lot of cooking, you need to bring some of your own cookware bc this was lacking - plenty of dishes and silverware- but not enough pans or large enough frying pans or casserole dishes to cook for many people. There was a rice cooker so this made our Cuban family very happy but no measuring cups or mixing bowls. Like others have said, the jome needs a little TLC - But overall we were very happy with our stay in this home.

Property was nice but we had some issues.

We stayed from Sunday to Saturday. On Tuesday morning, one of our kids noticed the floor in the down stairs hallway was wet. I didn't think too much about it, thinking one of our kids may have had the shower curtain outside of the tub. We came back from day out and my kids then noticed water coming up through the floor. I texted the owner and he had his son come over and found the A/C drain pipe was clogged. That didn't bother me too much since I am a landlord as well. My daughter also complained of some bites that she got and we thought it may have been mosquito bites. On Friday morning we found bed bugs in her bed. We did not see them until Friday. We notified the owner again but he did not say anything back to me or do anything on this issue. She was in the bedroom at the end of the hallway. So I want to warn people to check the beds before allowing anyone sleep in this room.

The guest notified me the day he was leaving of the bedbug problem in the back room. I took him very serious. Although I could not find any bugs, I called a professional exterminator who treated the problem. Also, I threw out the old beds that were about 2 years old and purchased new beds. My house is on a regular treatment plan with the exterminator. I have had two different guest stay there since then without any incident. I feel that this problem is resolved and will continue to monitor it and make sure that my guest have a nice place to stay without any issues.

All was good except for the neighbor

Property was as described. Could use some attention cosmetically but you can see efforts have been made to update property. It was unfortunate we could not open the curtains facing the neighbors yard because it was such an eye sore. The neighbor constantly yelled at her dogs swearing at them and threatening to break their necks. On one o’clock I witnessed her throw the dog away from her because it was crying in distress because it was all tangled up. She kept referring to someone the house as a crack head. When we were in the front yard she was encouraging one of the dogs to leave the yard and not come back. She asked us if we wanted it because she was done with him. Very sad. I wish I could have taken him home. On the plus side the house was as described and fit our needs. Some rooms were smaller than we thought and we couldn’t put our suitcases in the room because there wasn’t any room. Unfortunately not all rooms had closets. The house was clean and when we had an issue with a faucet someone came over immediately to fix it. He was very nice. The landlord was responsive to our texts and very pleasant on the phone. I would rent a different property from him if we need to in the future. It is unfortunate about the neighbor but that’s not his fault. Besides the neighbor everything was fine.

This was one of the easiest rental experiences we’ve had. The host was very responsive in any questions we had. We had 4 different families stay in the home and everyone had plenty of room, sleeping space, and plenty of restrooms. The home was in a VERY QUIET neighborhood. It was a quick drive to any of the different areas of NOLA. The parking was efficient. We were only a few minutes from Walmart if we needed anything. One of the best rentals we’ve had in the area!

The 8 adults went in pairs or more where they wished to go. Everybody was impressed with all the ways and means and operations and performances. We were fascinatingly impressed. Enjoyed every minute.

Perfect for our big family

We loved this home while we enjoyed time with family. It was big enough for our whole family and significant others. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and every main room was large enough for everyone to be in at once. The kids enjoyed chasing the lizards in the yard:)
