First, we would like to express our sincere condolences on the loss of your dog. We understand that was an incredibly difficult time, and we are truly sorry for what you were going through. We're very glad to hear that you enjoyed the home, found it clean and comfortable, and appreciated the location. We would like to clarify one point regarding the door lock. Detailed locking instructions are included in our check-in information, and in the years we have managed this property, we have not had another guest experience difficulty locking the door. Had we known you were having trouble, we would have been more than happy to walk you through the process over the phone. Unfortunately, the home was left unlocked not only when you departed, but throughout your stay. While the neighborhood is very safe, we do ask all guests to keep the property secured whenever they leave for the safety of the home and its contents.
