We have 3 kids under 10. The place was perfect for all of us. They had a blast and we got to enjoy the views. We're totally surprised by the suttle view of Rushmore. We will hopefully return soon.

This house is charming and comfortable. The location is central to most attractions--easy drives to Custer State Park and Wind Cave National Park. Mere minutes from Mount Rushmore, Iron Mountain Road, and Needles Highway. We also took easy day trips to the Badlands and to Devils Mountain National Monument. The ping pong and Foosball tables in the garage were a lot of fun. Rushmore monument is visible from one part of porch, between support beams of neighbor's porch. However distant and filtered, we thought it was fun seeing the monument when it was lit at night. The kitchen is sparsely equipped; not a cook's kitchen. Furnishings are really cute and comfortable. Art is all delightfully location-centric. Our main concern was cleanliness. Carpets are stained, stairs were not vacuumed when we arrived, mildew on shower curtain, hair on floors in both bathrooms, and used s'more skewers on front deck. With a carpet shampoo and a more attentive cleaning crew, this house would be ideal for any small group looking to enjoy this remarkably beautiful and interesting part of South Dakota.

We booked this property for the Black Hills/Rushmore portion of an epic midwest park trip with our family. So glad we did! We were able to watch the America 250 fireworks display over Mt. Rushmore vividly right from this property. How amazing! All while enjoying a 4th of July cookout from the property's grill and a cold beverage of choice without ever leaving the house. The house was great, and the host was fantastic and very communicative with any of our questions or needs. We had several since we were coming from the southeast, specifically for the 4th of July festivities at Mt. Rushmore. Amanda was super helpful and made our trip so much easier! This property is perfect for visiting Rushmore, Custer, Needles, Iron Mtn., Sturgis and other Black Hills destinations. 10 out of 10. Would recommend and stay here again when in the area.

We had a wonderful time at this home for our vacation in the Black Hills. The location was perfect - close to town and other attractions. We had views of Mt Rushmore and regular visits of deer each day. The home itself was spacious, clean, and the patio was amazing. Amanda was very responsive if we needed anything and was always available. I would definitely visit again and recommend to others for an amazing stay!

Amazing home, just as described and shown. On the side of a hill with good views and lots of native animals,,,deer, rabbits, turkeys! New appliances, amazing garage/game/bar area. Location very central to all attractions and parks. South Dakota is beautiful, clean and VERY friendly.

Fabulous family get away

We had an amazing time at this property! Everything was clean and easy to find and use. The game room was a hit with my teens! Sitting on the deck looking at the gorgeous views I got to see a herd of deer! The town of Keystone is super cute and very close to Mt. Rushmore and Amanda includes a wonderful list of things do so and places to eat in and around the area. Don't miss out on this amazing place!

Highly recommend! I felt like we walked into the pictures! This home is thoughtfully decorated and set up for a comfortable stay. We traveled with 3 of our kids and two dogs. Our kids LOVED the air hockey, ping-pong table, and fire pit for smores. When we arrived, there were dog bowls set out in the kitchen. Downtown Keystone is only 3-4 minute drive, Mt. Rushmore the same. The owner is incredibly fast on responding to messages. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at The George. This house is located right next to Rushmore and within a very easy drive of Rapid City, Crazy Horse and Custer Sate Park. The hosts have very thoughtfully appointed the house with everything a guest would need, even special things like a milk frother and Keurig for those beautiful Black Hills’ mornings. Speaking of mornings, enjoying a cup of coffee and the beautiful view on the enclosed porch when it’s chilly or the open porch when it’s warmer will start your day off right. Thanks to Amanda, Federico and the entire team for giving us such a wonderful place to stay. We will certainly stay here again given the chance !

George House-Rushmore-Custer-Badlands

Amanda & Blackbird were very responsive and helpful. George House met our expectations and more. The facilities were great - our German Short Hair Pointer loved the circular layout - my wife loved the kitchen layout, and the outside grill was brand new and made great steaks and burgers. The location exactly fit our plans for Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands and Custer State Park. If our family plans take us back to this portion of South Dakota, George House we would definitely engage George House again.

Great Stay! Beautiful home with special touches!

We had an amazing stay here! The host was very clear, quick to communicate and gave great instructions for check in/check out. The home was clean and comfortable (temp) when we arrived. The home is also decorated beautifully and has more than enough space to relax and get comfortable. They had everything we needed such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion, laundry detergent, kitchen supplies, dishes, pans, wine glasses, board games, blankets, etc. The list could go on! The game room was much enjoyed as well as the stores kit and the outdoor fir pit. They also had a beautiful enclosed patio for the chilly mornings or evenings. The little stove was a great was to heat the space and add to the ambience. We sat here and drank our coffee on the chilly mornings. The home was a quick drive to restaurants and shops and of course Mount Rushmore! We saw several deer and enjoyed the beautiful views from the home. What a great stay and we truly can't wait to come back again! Thank you for a great vacation!

The perfect house in an incredible location! We loved spending our evenings out on the deck where most often we were joined by mule deer passing by. It is close to Keystone yet you feel away from the chaos of town! Amanda was fantastic to work with!!

The house was very clean and in a great location. The bedding is comfortable and the house was stocked with most of what we needed. We felt the attention to detail was lacking in some areas. I had to call several times because some messages were not responded to after 24 hours. I never got a message on the check-in instructions and had to call for this. The two upstairs bedrooms have skylights and it gets very bright in there in the mornings. The grass had not been mowed and was near knee high and the outdoor upkeep was lacking. Our biggest complaint other than communication are the towels or lack there of. There are no kitchen towels. The bath towels are similar to what you would find at a gym or hotel pool. There was no toilet paper left in the house when we arrived other than what was on the holders. Overall, we had a great trip and the house is very clean. The kids loved the baseball hoop and game room. The outdoor patio is nice and we spent most evenings out there. We felt for the price a few things could have been better and a little more attention to detail.
