Spacious accommodations for large group in area for weekend golf tournament. Open concept kitchen, dining and living room worked great for meal making, eating and socializing.Bedrooms large and bedding hotel quality. Bathrooms also large and well-appointed.Long driveway accommodated 8 autos and trucks with room to spare.Weather limited ability to fully appreciate outdoor areas, but patio area and fire pit would have been social centers under better conditions.Highly recommend this host and property.

The house is a split level which offered different spaces for kids to play and/or watch tv. Having the outside sitting area is also a plus; however, the weather was a bit cool and windy which didn't allow us to be outside much. The kitchen was a good size along with a dining area which had plenty of sitting for eating and doing activities with kids. Kitchen is equipped with your basic needs for cooking and baking. The view of the lake and sunrise was wonderful. The distance off the lake was perfect to establish boundaries for the little ones when we were outside.

Beautiful property! Steve was always on when we needed any kind of communication. It was a beautiful time spent with our military friend who we haven’t seen in 13 years. Great get together in a beautiful spot! The property was super clean and had enough towels. We got to use the fire pit which was wonderful to do with our friends. Just make sure you bring bug(mosquito)repellents!!! We are from Montana and aren’t use to these bugs! The fireflies were beautiful at night though! Thank you again for letting us borrow your home

Happy Hour Hideaway

Our trip was hassle free and the house was as described in the listing. Clean and comfortable. Plenty of room for our group of 9. Quiet neighborhood. We would go back.

Friends retreat

This was a beautiful property and a great place for a three generation gathering. We had so much fun on the water with paddle boards and kayaks, birdwatching, telling stories by the fire, and playing frisbee in the lawn. We are eager to come back sometime when we have more time to explore the world’s largest freshwater cattail marsh and the migrating birds of the Fox River valley. The house is newly renovated and it shows.

Property was perfect for a large family. We loved having the firepit, pier, kayaks, and paddle board. The kitchen was huge and had everything you could need or want . Bedrooms were well equipped with extra blankets, pillows, etc. AC worked well, showers had good pressure, beds on the firm side. We appreciated the firewood the house had. It was nice not to have to run out and buy. We had a great stay and can’t wait to come back

If you're looking for a place to stay with your family, I recommend staying at Steve's beautiful home. Everything from the decor in each room and cleanliness was immaculate! Steve was responsive and upon entering the home, Steve provided instructions on how to check out which I find super helpful. The home had everything that my family and I needed. My nieces and nephews really enjoyed the huge backyard, all the board games and water toys available. We had a total of 14 people and it was able to accomdate us all comfortably without feeling overwhelmed. I personally used the kayaks to go fishing and caught 5 good sized catfishes if you're into that.

Absolutely loved this place! The house was exactly as pictured, except even cuter in person. The kitchen was the perfect place to cook while having our family all in one big space. The house is thoughtfully decorated but also stocked well with almost anything we could have needed, and we never felt like we were tripping over each other. We had 13 people in our group, between our teen and adult children, their plus ones and our dogs. We cooked, hung out, spent time indoors when it rained on day 2, and had a wonderful time enjoying everything the yard and lakefront could offer us. The kids kayaked, used the paddle boards, and made fires in the fire pit on both nights. The yard and lakefront are not done justice by the photos. The yard is incredibly spacious, longer and wider than we anticipated and simply exceeded expectations in every way. The owner was extremely responsive, and answered all of our questions before the trip. 10/10 - Would absolutely stay there again.
