Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Need to bring your own cleaning supplies like sponge, Lysol wipes. Had an ant issue but management took are of.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The balcony door didn’t close all the way. There was a gap which caused it not to latch to be able to lock it. The fridge was rusted on one side. There was no pantry for food storage. Needs an update / renovation badly.

Not our usual stay at Destin West

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at Destin West several times over the years and always enjoy the location and facilities offered. This year though, the unit we stayed in left much to be desired. It was much more worn, dirty and tired than any condo we have ever stayed in. There was also a lack of basic kitchen supplies that are normally offered, and the patio door did not even fully close. The mgmt team was responsive and we still very much enjoyed the common spaces, but we would not stay in this unit again, unless it was renovated and cleaned.

We booked 6 nights at a condo on the Bayside. We wanted to stay another night and this was the only condo available. Needless to say, I now see why. I had no communication from property manager until I decided to send a message at 11 AM asking about check in. I was then sent a message saying that our room would not be available until 6. At 4pm (the regular check in time) I called Destin West asking if our room was ready since I sent multiple messages to property manager without reply. It in fact WAS ready. Once inside, we realized how unclean it was. The sofa was disgusting, the floors were clearly not cleaned, the bed had unknown stains. DONT waste your money!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was nice. I would stay there again except for the bedding. The mattresses are worn out on all the beds and need to be replaced. I would not stay there again unless the mattresses are replaced. Neither me nor my daughter slept well.
