Great Cottage

Cottage is larger than it appears in the pictures. Host was very responsive. Marina next door has friendly staff with easy and delicious food options. Great spot from which to explore the area!

Great location, spacious home, extremely poor beds. Felt like they were made of concrete and cardboard. Also incredibly barebones in terms of amenities and what is provided in the home— next to nothing, which I haven’t experienced with quite literally any other place I’ve stayed. Tons of rules to be adhered to as well, which I get (and we respected them) but it gets to a point where we all were joking “maybe just don’t rent the home out to guests then?” All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you intend on being at the beach all day and just need a place to (uncomfortably) rest your head.

I am sorry that you were dissatisfied with your stay. I appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback as that feedback is important to me and gives me the opportunity to make improvements. We strive to offer an excellent experience for our renters and will take your feedback seriously. As for the rules, there was a degree of concern about your reservation. I received a warning from VRBO that your rental could put my property at risk for a disruptive event. VRBO recommended that I either cancel your reservation or emphasize the rules with you. When I reached out to you about the rules, you replied that the rules were very straightforward. VRBO would not provide details about why I received the warning, but it’s possible that your future hosts will receive a similar recommendation.

Graduation weekend

Clean and quaint - nicely renovated. Beautifully furnished and decorated, very comfortable. Dog friendly is a real plus. Owner was very responsive to a few minor things. The location near Matunick Beach is convenient and the views from the upper deck out over the marina are fantastic. We had a full house with family for JWU graduation weekend and could not have been more pleased. It would be a great destination for extended family with the other two cottages on the property. Only wish there would have been one fully fenced in space

Graduation weekend

We were there for my son's graduation. The place says sleeps 8 which would have been perfect for the adult family members attending. Unfortunately some of the twin beds listed were trundle beds, which are not very good for adults. My family also said the mattresses were very uncomfortable. If these issues are addressed this will be a great spot for future renters. The place was very clean and near many restaurants and the beach. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay

Very dangerous stairs to the lower level which were not mentioned in the description. Also the gas range was in need of a professional. Very heavy gas smell and an extremely large flame. Hence the grates were dirty with soot and needed cleaning The house is in a great location and was clean other than the cooktop. With these safety issues resolved, I would change my rating.

The property was really cute and in a great location, with a market with sandwiches and coffee right next door at the harbor. It had everything we needed for our stay in Rhode Island. There's plenty of parking and the A/C is top-notch.If you're coming from out of town, be advised that it's pretty standard practice for the rentals not to provide sheets or towels. They are rented through local companies that drop them off at your place. We're from Seattle, so that was new for us, but it was easy once we knew what to do.It's an adorable walkable neighborhood and a classic (updated) house from the 1900s that really gives you the RI vibe. We had a great time and would stay again.

This is a very cute property. Our host was wonderful and very receptive to my inquires. The property was very clean and there is a wonderful little marina next door which serves a wonderful breakfast. The property is close to many beaches and great restaurants. Things just to be aware of, there are no sheets or towels. This information is in the original description of the property but the very last line and I hadn't even realized that this was a thing for VRBO properties. We were coming from the West Coast and so we couldn't bring linens. Our host did help us out but those who rent this property should be aware. Also the stairs are very steep and ceilings are very low in the stairways. My husband was always having to duck down to prevent hitting his head and it could be an issue for people with more limited mobility.
