We also love offering a pet-friendly getaway so the whole family can come along! The Lake Zoar setting is beautiful, but it does come with some stairs! We try to be very upfront in our listing about both the narrow spiral staircase inside and the stairs getting to the property so guests know exactly what to expect before they arrive. The multiple levels and outdoor spaces offer so many different ways to take in those beautiful Lake Zoar views, and the hot tub is definitely a favorite spot to relax and enjoy the setting. We’re glad you enjoyed all the little extras throughout the home, too, from the Smart TVs and Bluetooth bathroom speaker to the customizable lighting. And yes, being tucked into the woods along the lake means you get the full nature experience! Thank you for mentioning the stairs as well. There are quite a few, but as you found, they are very manageable and part of what allows the home to offer those incredible views from so many different levels. That is not the standard we strive for, and we’ve addressed this with our team to ensure it does not happen again. We’re glad you were still able to enjoy the beautiful views and peaceful lakeside setting during your stay. For future guests, we do want to emphasize that this property is a true hillside lake retreat and does require navigating stairs throughout the property. As outlined in our listing prior to booking, there is a 66-step descent from the parking area to the house, with additional stairs to the yard and dock. Because of this, the home is best suited for guests who are comfortable with stairs and do not have mobility limitations. We appreciate you staying with us and are happy you were able to have a lovely weekend overall.
