Large A-Frame in Nature - minutes from Main
Summary:
Stay in a modern A-frame cabin on 17 scenic acres just outside Fredericksburg. The Pedernales sleeps 8–10 with two king bedrooms, a twin bedroom, open loft with additional beds, and a sleeper sofa. Relax on the patio, grill outdoors, soak in the private stock tank pool (with optional heater), or gather around the propane fire pit. Guests also enjoy access to the shared cedar sauna. Less than 10 minutes to Main Street, this is the perfect Hill Country escape for families and friends.
The Space:
Bedrooms (Main Floor):
Two private bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed, hotel-quality linens, window shades, sound machine, and a full-length mirror.
Bedroom (Upstairs):
Cozy upstairs bedroom with two twin-sized beds and window shades.
Loft:
Open loft space with two twin beds, two oversized bean bags, and a smart TV — the perfect spot for kids or teens to relax and stream movies.
Kitchen:
Well-equipped for full meals with a stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, and cookware. Includes a drip coffee maker, Keurig, French press, and electric kettle. We provide locally roasted Hill Country coffee, creamers, and sugar (BYO Keurig pods).
Bathrooms:
- Main Floor: Walk-in shower with soft towels, plus Public Goods shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Hair dryer provided.
- Upstairs: Tub/shower combo with the same essentials provided.
Living & Dining Area (Downstairs):
Spacious open-concept living area with a sofa and dining table set beneath soaring A-frame windows overlooking the dry creek bed and native oaks. A perfect gathering space filled with natural light and Hill Country views.
Outdoor Spaces:
Step out onto your private patio deck to fire up the gas grill, gather around the propane fire pit, or cool off in your private stock tank pool, treated before and during your stay as needed. The pool features an optional heater that guests can activate (1–2 hours to warm up). Guests also enjoy access to the shared cedar sauna, available first come, first serve to all property guests.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the Pedernales Cabin, its private patio, pool, and deck, as well as the 17-acre property during daylight hours (while being mindful of other guests’ privacy).
You’ll also have access to communal amenities across A-Frame Ranch, including the cedar sauna (first come, first serve).
Common amenities such as toilet paper, paper towels, coffee creamers, sugar, and trash bags are provided — and we’re happy to bring more if you need extra during your stay.
Watch for deer when driving in — they’re abundant on the property.
Pack ’n Play available upon request.
Additional Notes:
Sleeps 8–10 comfortably; $35/person per day fee applies for extra guests beyond 9.
We want your stay to be comfortable and safe. A few simple guidelines:
- No pets, please.
- No smoking inside or around the cabins.
- Only flush toilet paper (septic system).
- Check-in: 4:00 PM | Check-out: 11:00 AM. Early check-in may be available upon request for a fee, if capacity allows.
- Parking is limited to gravel drives and designated spots only.
Thank you for helping us keep A-Frame Ranch peaceful, clean, and welcoming!
The Neighborhood:
A-Frame Ranch sits on 17 wooded acres filled with post oak and mesquite trees, giving you the peaceful feel of the Hill Country while being just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. Wineries, dance halls, hiking trails, and Main Street’s restaurants and shops are all close by, so you can enjoy both quiet nature and lively town life in the same trip.
Getting Around:
The cabin is accessed by a gravel road with some rocky sections. We recommend driving slowly and paying attention when coming in — it’s not an issue if you take it easy, and it adds to the charm of being tucked away in the country. Having a car is the most convenient way to get around Fredericksburg, though Uber and other rideshares are available (with limited availability at times).
Other Things to Note:
We’re in a designated Dark Sky Community, which makes for incredible stargazing — but nights can be very dark. We recommend bringing a flashlight or two for after dark.
This is the Texas Hill Country, so you may encounter bugs or wildlife. The property is routinely treated for pest control, but critters are part of the natural setting — don’t be surprised if you come across some outside (or inside if doors are left open)
This property is on well water, which is naturally very hard. That can occasionally cause some mineral buildup on shower heads or glass surfaces in the bathrooms. Our team works hard to keep everything clean, but a bit of buildup is part of life in the Hill Country and not a reflection of cleanliness.
Interaction with Guests:
We’re a team of Fredericksburg locals who love our town and are passionate about sharing it with visitors. You’ll have plenty of privacy during your stay, but we’re always happy to help — whether that means offering local recommendations, answering questions by phone, or coming out in person if needed.
