Cozy Chalet in a beautiful location!

We had a lovely time at the Alpine Meadows Chalet. It was a great location close to town and easy access to the mountain. The home had everything we needed and the fireplace was a HUGE plus. I would definitely recommend renting Jeff’s place!

Best of both worlds

A stones throw to Stowe Village while still giving you a wooded cabin retreat. The spiral staircase took a little getting used to but overall it’s just what we needed.

Wonderful Stay

Jeff was so responsive to each question before our arrival and saw to it that we had everything to ensure a relaxing get-a-way. The hot tub was perfect, well-kept and just what we needed, especially after a long day of hiking. The house was clean and efficient. Thanks Jeff!

Perfect location

The chalet was located about 10 minutes from the Stowe resort in a quiet small neighborhood with great privacy. The hot tub was clean and in great condition. The chalet is fully stocked with everything you need and with ample extras to get you through your trip. The firewood and fireplace are definitely a plus and there is a nice storage area for your skiis and gear, and even a boot dryer as well. Easy communication and check in and would definitely stay again.

Great for skiing Stowe

My family had a great stay here. The house was well equipped and the mud room downstairs was a great place to store gear. Jeff was very responsive to any questions I had. Only issue we had was the hot tub suffered a casualty right after we booked so we weren’t able to use that during our stay. Things happen and Jeff was very upfront about the situation. Overall great place and we would love to come back and stay for a week next winter.

Total Eclipse

We booked in December for this stay to catch the total eclipse on Monday 8 Apr 2024 at this lovely rural chalet just outside the town of Stowe VT. We lucked out with a wonderful location, more than 2 feet of snow a few days beforehand for a great late season ski experience, and 60F day on the Monday for the eclipse with only a thin layer of clouds. The chalet worked out really well for our family (5 people). I highly recommend it.

Quiet Mountain Retreat

The location of this property is so close to downtown stowe but far enough away we felt like we were at a quiet mountain retreat. Just a short 3-4 minute drive to town and 15-20 minute drive up to the lifts.We really appreciated the hot tub, the fireplace and the filtered water. It looks like the owner is getting ready to put in a more efficient wood burning stove too.Sleeping arrangements were adequate. Kitchen had everything we needed to make meals in. And lots of provided firewood!The only downside was the dimly lit living room/ dining room and the attention to cleanliness. We found trash and forgotten items behind and under furniture.Overall we found this property to be a great value and perfect for our ski vacation needs!

Perfect for Ski Trip

My family of four and a family friend spent MLK weekend at Alpine Meadows for a Stowe ski trip. It was a perfect ski lodge with a great open stove for a wood fire in a large common room. The kitchen was very useful and we cooked a roast chicken and brussel sprouts one night and went to town, which is about a mile away, the other. The main downstairs bedrooms were great. The bunk room for kids is rather tiny. The lofted room also has plenty of room. We were quite comfortable with 5 people. 8 people would be pushing it. There is a tight spiral staircase between the floors that is fine for reasonable agile people, but may be a challenge for those with mobility impairment. The hot tub is new and it was luxurious to relax in while the snow came down. The grill is also right there on the deck. The location is very convenient and we took the back way in to Stowe on Sunday avoiding some of the traffic on the mountain access road. We would definitely stay here again

Amazing week at Alpine Meadows

Great property with an incredible location, short drive to town and only 15 minutes to the Mountain. Chalet was well-appointed with everything we needed for a week. Jeff's place was perfect for 2 families and the kids had fun soaking in the hot tub after a day on the slopes.

Stowe ski trip

The house was clean, had everything we needed, and was an easy drive to Stowe. One thing to note for families with toddlers - the stairs are spiral (not an issue for us but would have been when our kids were young).

Perfect ski getaway

This apartment has all the key ingredients for a great ski trip: modern kitchen, big hot tub, open first floor living area, wood stove, and close proximity to the mountain. Jeff is also a very responsive host. We would definitely come back in the future!

Perfect Spot!

This place was in a great location and had everything needed for a perfect ski vacation! Everything was provided and Jeff was available. Would definitely stay here again and recommend for other guests! We had 5 people which fit perfectly!

Stowe much fun!

The house was great and perfect for 2 small families that wanted to spend all day skiing. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was a nice way to end long days of skiing.

Perfect getaway home

Jeff’s chalet was exactly what we needed for a weekend away. We arrived with a full house and were blown away by the copious amount of beds. Living room is quite big with a cozy fireplace to sit around. Kitchen space is impeccable too!

Great Space

The Alpine Meadows Chalet is exactly what my group and I were looking for our ski vacation. The spaces are all well thought out and very functional. Location is close to town and the ski area. There is plenty of bedding and sleeping space to accommodate larger groups without feeling clustered. Two full bathrooms with great water pressure. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, a fully stocked kitchen and large collection of DVDs. We must have watched 6 Will Farrell movies in the duration of our stay. The hot tub is a must after a day on the slopes and the wood burning stove is a nice feature as well. I would recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

This home was perfect for us. It was well stocked for all our needs.

We cooked in most meals and kitchen had all utensils, etc. we needed. Location was great, easy to get to, even on snowy roads. Owner very responsive to few questions we had. He even put up a Christmas tree for us when I asked if he had any holiday decorations! The grandkids loved finding their presents under the tree. Great rental. Thanks!

Comfortable house close to it all!

This was my first trip with home away. It was a great experience! Jeff was very nice and thorough. The house was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located for hiking, shopping, restaurants, and so on. Hot tub was a great perk after hiking. Thank you Jeff!!
