Unit was as described, well stocked , lots of ocean toys and beach items. Patio is a bit small but view of the ocean was lovely. It was a great unit for a family.

We loved this rental for the proximity to the beach and also the extra bonus space in the living room. It was just the right amount of space we needed for a family of 6. The resort itself (Kamaole Sands) was a really nice place and we enjoyed the pool, game area and beautiful lawns and felt it was a very safe and secure place to stay (gated community). Unfortunately when we arrived we found out that the air conditioner in the main living area was broken and was unable to be fixed during our trip. We were a bit miserable as it was high 80s that week and didn't cool off at night. The hosts were very apologetic and got us a fan towards the end of the trip. Also, we were not aware until we showed up that there was an additional resort fee, but because of this miscommunication the host kindly reimbursed us.

The condo was very nice and looked like the pictures. It also had a nice view of the landscaping with the ocean in the background. Being on the ground floor was very convenient. Good communication with the owner. I would definitely stay in this condo again!

Family Friendly

This condo easily fit five of us and is very well stocked with kitchen equipment, beach gear, and laundry supplies. The view is nice and the beach is right across the street. Nice place for a family to stay!

Wonderful stay at Kamaole Sands

This is our third time staying at Kamaole sands. The location to the beach is amazing, the property is beautifully landscaped and kept. The pool and hot tubs are also very nicely looked after. The unit we stayed in was ideal for my husband, myself and our adult daughter.

Beautiful view from the Lanai. Enjoyed most meals from this spot. Hope to stay again!!!

Beautiful condo with everything promised. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the beds were comfortable. The view is beautiful from the lanai. We enjoyed snorkeling and close access to a family friendly beach. We definitely hope to come again!

Beautiful condo, great stay!

We had a great stay! The condo is roomy, and has a fantastic view of the ocean and the evening sunset. The younger kids loved their bedroom with the twin beds. Condo was well appointed, with a very well stocked kitchen, good linens and great beach toys in the lanai closet. The owners were very considerate and responsive. Would stay there again for sure!!

Perfect Spot

This condo is located right across from the beach and park area of Kihei! The condo was spacious and had all items needed for a week long stay. We enjoyed the small patio daily and the wonderful breeze that came through the windows daily! What we loved most was the easy access to the park, beach, and shops/restaurants. Most residents brought their lawn chairs to the park for the nightly viewing of the sunset. SO BEAUTIFUL! We loved our stay and would highly recommend this property!

Great Location

This was a great location to stay in. The property had great amenities, including a nice pool and easy access to the beach. The beds in the bedrooms were comfortable, although the bedrooms did have a musty smell, as did all the towels. The pullout bed was quite old and not the most comfortable. Guests are expected to do all the laundry (towels, sheets, etc) upon checkout.

Hello! I'm responding to this review very late because a potential guest just made me aware that a review from a previous guest indicated that our guests are expected to do all the laundry. I'm not sure where that information came from, but our guests are not expected to do all the laundry. :) The only thing I mention about laundry in our welcome is to avoid putting clothes full of sand in the washer/dryer because it shortens the already-short lifespan of modern appliances. As a common courtesy, we do appreciate our guests starting at least one load of laundry on the way out to help our housekeeping team with the tight timeline of same-day turnovers. Hope this helps!

Perfect Spot

Kamaole Sands is the best place to hang in Kihei. This condo is perfection, opening up to the groundfloor lawn, just a short walk to the beach or pool. Hang on the lanai and listen to the waves. Spacious floorplan in an angled unit unlike the traditional ones, feels roomy. Comfy pillows! Plenty of little things, spices, beach chairs, cooler. We’ll be back <3

Awesome accommodations, sweet location

I came with my husband, our almost 4 year old daughter, my older brother, and my mother. We were looking for a lot of needs - central location, something close to the beach that allowed walking, ground floor because my mother's mobility is limited, comfortable sleeping accommodations for everyone, etc. This met all of our needs and more. Beds were super comfy, kitchen was well stocked, lots of sitting areas, the ground floor location with the back doors opening up to the grassy common grounds, easy walk across the beach to awesome beaches - we were all stoked! Great and easy communication with the owners, and the condo management itself was prime. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful condo in a great location

There were three of us staying at the condo: my wife, myself, and our toddler. We loved it! It's bright and spacious, with a lovely view from the lanai: you see the garden, the fountains, and the ocean. You can even watch the sunsets there. The location is fantastic too: the awesome Kamaole 3 beach park is right across the street. The unit was quiet, with no road noise, especially in the master bedroom and the living room. We liked the swimming pools on premises, including a shallow one for small kids, which we used a lot. Overall, the resort, Kamaole Sands, is very pretty and clean, with beautiful plants and many local birds. Overall, we had a great stay!

Great stay!

Kamaole Sands is a great property in a fantastic location. Gym, pool, grounds, BBQ areas etc are all more than adequate, well maintained and clean. This is a very large unit with well stocked amenities. We left 2 new boogie boards as the old ones were broken and worn out. The beach umbrella was being held together with duct tape when we arrived. Needs a new one of those too. It is well stocked with beach chairs, beach toys, a small cooler, a beach wagon, etc. Kitchen amenities are plentiful and numerous basic spices, sugars etc were supplied when we arrived. The condo and furniture is a bit dated, but completely adequate. We didn’t mind this at all, as we preferred it to something all brand new and twice the price. Overall very happy with our stay.

This place is the definition of perfect. We’re a family of 4 and the unit being on the ground level was a huge plus. When we arrived the condo was extremely clean and checking in was super easy. The location is perfect as you can walk to the beach, park and shops and convenience stores. Kraken coffee and the cinnamon roll place was our go to! The amenities such as the pool, bbq and picnic area were great especially after a day exploring beautiful maui. The condo itself was much larger than what I anticipated which was amazing for the family. When we go back to Maui next summer we will definitely rebook here!!
