Condo was as pictured and the property as a whole was beautiful, we enjoyed the beach, the pool and the restaurant all on property and it was a great location to get to everywhere we wanted to visit. My only thoughts for improvement would be to upgrade the washer/dryer to accommodate towels being cleaned. We had to reuse the same white towels for five of us for 7 days and could not wash them per instructions. With as much sand and dirt that kiddos can bring in from excursions, that got a little gross. Overall I would recommend it as a great place to stay.

I am glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay at our condo. Regarding your comment about towels; we do leave 6 white bath towels in each bathroom for guest use. That is a total of 12 bath towels, as well as an unlimited number of beach towels via the towel tracker distribution system. That should allow plenty of towels, but an additional option also exists for linen replacement service during your stay if more are needed. We cannot upgrade the washer/dryers to accommodate towels, as the system was constructed at Honua Kai for all dryers to be ventless. We have already upgraded from the original washer/dryers that were provided originally. I hope to see you and your family return for your next Maui vacation..

We had an amazing stay and would absolutely book this condo again! Check-in was seamless and easy, making the start of our vacation completely stress-free. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed.One of our favorite features was how well stocked it was. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, dishes, and utensils, making it easy to prepare meals. We also loved having access to beach chairs, boogie boards, and other beach gear—it made our days at the beach so much more convenient.The view was beautiful, and we enjoyed relaxing on the lanai each day. The bathrooms were spacious, clean, and nicely updated as well.Overall, this condo exceeded our expectations. It’s clear the owners have put a lot of thought into making guests feel at home. We highly recommend it and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO condo in Maui! The unit was clean, bright, and spacious with a relaxing island feel. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the lanai offered beautiful views perfect for morning coffee and sunset drinks.The location was perfect — just steps from the beach and conveniently close to shops and restaurants. The complex is quiet and well-maintained with an amazing pool and waterslide.The host was responsive and helpful. Everything was exactly as described. This condo made our Maui trip stress-free and memorable. Highly recommend!

Host was responsive, place and facilities were clean and accessible. Dukes restaurant was great to have on site, food truck parking lot also close by and beach boardwalk was great. Good pools and hot tubs. The unit was bright and spacious and perfect for our family of 5, only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars on cleanliness was the deck and patio furniture were dirty and not cleaned prior to our arrival. Kitchen is well stocked and we would stay here again.

I am sorry that Kelly was disappointed. Evidently it was assumed that this was an ocean front condo. We advertise this condo as partial ocean and mountain view condo. Ocean front condos are significantly more expensive. As the photos of the condo show, this is a corner unit with a limited view of the ocean. The resort is an ocean front resort as advertised. If a guest has a question or a problem during their stay it would be preferred for them to communicate with me the nature of the problem so that I could try to accommodate them. This is a comfortable, remodeled, well maintained condo in a beautiful resort.

30th Wedding Anniversary

Loved this place.Very comfortable for two couples. The grounds were beautiful and easily accessible to most attractions. I could have stayed forever! We were there in March 2025. The pools were very busy with lots of kids.I wished the management co would have designated an adults only area as well as not decide to change the garbage at 5:30am.Regardless,we had a great time.

Young family of 6 first time in Maui.

We had a great time at this property. There was great space with the indoor/outdoor living space. Quiet stay without loud pumping music. The pools are great for kids. They were entertained all day with little effort. Snorkeling just beyond the pool at the beach. Reef and fish were easily spotted. Even sea turtles. Plenty of room to spread out and play catch on large areas of grass. It was a perfect vacation!

Beautiful property

We’ve stayed in corner units at the Honua Kai in the past and love how roomy they are. This was noisier than the others as it was over the loading dock. My advise is to only do tiny loads in the dryer because larger ones won’t dry. The people were warm and friendly, service is excellent and so are the pools.

Beautiful property and ideal location

This property was exactly as promised. It is a beautiful location and the amenities were amazing. Communicating with the owner was easy and fast. They provided beach chairs, which was a huge bonus. The beach on this property was ideal for snorkeling amd we even saw a few turtles. It was myself, my husband and my 3 young adult sons. We also used the gym for workouts and walked the beach. We would definitely go back!!

Great place to vacation!

The property was wonderful as listed on VRBO. Unit was very clean and enjoyed our stay. My only feedback would be that the appliances (stove & refrigerator) need to be repaired/updated. Stove top does not work well and refrigerator ice maker/water dispenser did not work. Also, cooking supplies were very old. Pans, and utensils. I would definitely stay here again, Farzie was very good at responding to any questions. Great location and property to vacation at.

Thank you Michelle for your feed back. I wish I knew there was problem with the stove or refrigerator and would have sent technicians to repair them if they needed repair. Although the appliances are not brand new, they are fairly new and top of the line Bosch appliances. We do provide new pots and pans every 6 months. They have been replaced recently.

Unfortunately, due to the Lahaina fires, we were told to leave after having been there for only 3 days, with 1 of those completely without power or cell service. We completely understand that it was not the fault of the property manager, however, there was little communication even after we were left and was able to get service. The pools were beautiful and views were amazing. The condo itself was nicely decorated with plenty of seating.

The owners were very responsive to fix the AC and the Dryer that were both not working. I have stayed at this resort many times and this was my least favorite unit. It really needs a good update with repairs and cleaning all throughout. There are many areas that need a deep clean or repairs made. Someone should walk the whole unit and make a list of everything that needs to be cleaned or fixed. I understand that owners may not see the inside of their units very often but its important to have some inspect them well. I love the resort just did not like this unit.

This condo was updated from the floors up just a couple of years ago. It is professionally cleaned after each guests departure. Surprisingly enough, this guest commented on how nice it was when she checked in. There was nothing wrong with the AC. According to the service person it was user error. I explain the AC use in my check in instructions in detail. I do stay in this condo from time to time and it is a very comfortable and spacious unit. Also I check all my condos personally on a regular basis.

The bell desk personnel were very helpful and cheerful. The coffee shop was good with good service and fair prices. The Pool area has quite a bit of deferred maintenance. Hot tub jets did not work the entire week. pool slide was out of order. Pool waiters (from Duke"s) never asked to close out tabs. The service elevators were extremely noisy and we were 4 rooms away.
