Nice place! Nice owner. Nice neighbors. Good TV’s. Good kitchen with nice new fridge. Mosquitoes weren’t an issue, but you may need to bring a fly swatter just in case the flies get aggressive.

We stayed at this darling lake cottage for a month in August as a family of four. Our renting purpose was for overflow from our family cabin, also on the lake. What a great time with lots of wonderful memories made. Green lake is beautiful and clean and we love boat access to restaurants and the county park. The owners were very kind and easy to work with. If anything came up they were on it right away. The house is old, it’s cozy, and it’s on a lake… so expectations need to be set about bugs and critters and things you may come across… but that’s just kind of a typical cabin experience. We brought a lot of our own stuff to make the house feel like more of our own for the month. Pillows, bedding, etc so I can’t speak to that. The cabin itself is decorated cute and feels clean and safe. The neighbors are all incredibly friendly people. The house had most of what you’d need to enjoy a week or more at the property. We primarily ate out, but the kitchen was well-stocked.One thing I would forewarn people about is the zebra muscles that are attached to rocks in the water. They’re little black groups of shells attached to rocks that are harmless in and of themselves, but can be VERY sharp, so I’d recommend water shoes. Especially for littles. Overall a great, cute little cabin for a family. I’d definitely recommend staying! :-)

• The lake was wonderful, and the inside of the home was cute.• The exterior had not been cleaned or maintained. The lawn was very long, with rotting leaf piles, 12-inch weeds growing through the stairs, and mayflies and spiderwebs covering the outside, chairs, and handrails.• Near the dock, broken, sharp dock pieces were piled in an overgrown area.• My husband, our two children, and I spent about five hours mowing, raking, weeding, cleaning furniture, and removing debris so the property was safe and usable before the rest of our family arrived.• The listing stated there was a deck or patio, but there was neither. The only outdoor furniture was a few dirty chairs and a small table under a bush. We bought a table and six chairs because there was no outdoor dining space, and the indoor table seated only four of our group of ten.• The loft stairs are very narrow and steep. The upstairs shower is only about three feet high because of the sloped roof.• The loft has no air conditioning or windows. Even with outdoor highs around 70 degrees, it was too hot to sleep, so several of us slept on the main floor.• The host’s response to the property condition was simply that the neighbor was supposed to mow weekly.• Our daughter’s bike got locked in the garage, and the host provided access to the basement but not the garage and told us to ask the neighbor only in an emergency. Luckily, the neighbor opened the garage.We would not stay here again or recommend this property.
