Our favorite features of Woodland Retreat is the modern feel and spacious 2,100 square foot layout.

The kitchen will not disappoint with all new appliances and amenities. Enjoy your meals at the dining room table or at the custom built kitchen island. Maybe you would like to dine or entertain outdoors, the large deck is where you can soak in the 6 person Hot Tub while star gazing the moonlight sky.

The large fire pit is ready to warm your toes while preparing tasty treats. The main living area is situated to maximize the views while creating great seating for conversation and handling guests.

Seating areas promote interaction and rest but guests have flexibility to enjoy the 25x45 great room. Snuggle up on the sofa or the love seat and take in all the relaxed touches the cabin has to offer.

The place was fantastic for a group of 7 of us. The bonfire pit was wonderful as well, with plenty of chairs to accommodate all of us. We will definitely keep this property in mind for our trip next year!

We LOVED the neighbors dog Kyle that stopped by for breakfast on Saturday. He was so sweet and went home when called by the owner. Such a great stay!

We absolutely loved it!! We hiked a lot and wished we would have booked more nights to just hang out at this beautiful house. The house was very equipped and we didn’t wish for anything (other than more hooks in the bathrooms). lol. Hot tub was so nice for all our aching bones. We brought motorcycles and were able to park them in garage which was a perk. Was just awesome!! Want to go back!!

This was a fantastic stay - for our entire family. It was spacious - loved the open floor in the main area. Lots of little extras - arcade game in the basement, tons of board games, lots of little treats. Quite a find - thank you so much!

The house was beautifully maintained and clean. We really enjoyed the convenience to all of the different hiking locations, s’mores by the fire, stargazing, the hot tub, and all of the games they had available. Check in and out were very easy.

Everything was so clean! The hot tub was very clean as well! Loved how wood was provided for our camp fire! Our family throughly enjoyed our weekend. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a great weekend stay at the house. Plenty of room for all of us. The house was clean and ready for us upon our arrival. Hot tub was relaxing after a day of hiking the trails. The kids enjoyed the stay too. Thanks for everything. Hope to visit again soon!

The host was very welcoming, reached out prior to ask if we had any questions. The location was perfect. Kitchen had what we needed. It was roomy and temperature control was good. The hot tub was spotless and even cleaned while we were there.Definately a great spot to explore Hocking Hills and Tar Hollow Stte Forest.

The host reached out prior to the stay to ask if I had any questions or if anything was needed. The home was very clean. I have been coming to hocking hills for 10 years and this was the best cabin I’ve stayed at.

Lockbox didnt open with code, but the garage keypad had the same code, so it ended up working out. The grill hadnt been cleaned, but other than that the cabin was clean and spacious.

Hands down the best cabin we have booked in Hocking Hills! Property was clean and inviting. Well maintained. Loved the small touches like crayons and coloring sheets for the kids, a pouch of laundry pods and dryer sheets for the washing machine. And even some movie snacks like m&ms and microwavable popcorn!Kitchen was clean and fully stocked with all of the utensils, glasses, and silverware for meal prepping and grilling. Cornhole boards in the garage, firewood and found tools to roast marshmallows by the firepit. Propane grills was great. Good wifi. Hosts were communicative and even let us check in a couple of hours early. Willie, who I assume is the groundskeeper was installing a new filter and getting the hot tub going as we arrived. Very nice gentleman, offered a handshake even with his hands full of materials. Definitely plan to book this cabin again and will most likely be my go to cabin in the future!

This home was the perfect relaxing place to take breaks from our adventures. The rooms were all spacious and comfortable. They did great with all the little details of what makes a home comfortable. Plenty of blankets, towels, and pillows. There was always something to do, between the games, the hotub, and tv by the cozy fireplaces. The house is close enough to many of the main trails, so we were able to come back for meals. Rock house is the closest, but the most physically difficult, so I'm really glad we did that last and had the hottub to soak in when we got back. This house is truly a wonderful place to stay while exploring the beauty of Hocking Hills!

The main living space and kitchen were so large and spacious. The table was perfect for playing games and the sofas were very comfortable. The hot tub was also clean and the jets were awesome. Some minor complaints were that the basement was pretty loud to sleep in with the sounds of the furnace turning on and off through the night. There was also a small water leak in the basement wall that had created a small moldy spot in the carpet. And the door from the garage to the basement didn’t have a lock, so that part didn’t feel super secure. Overall though, the place was really nice! Hope they take care of that moldy area and put a lock on the basement garage door. That would bump it to 5 stars!

The owners of Woodland Retreat, are outdoor enthusiasts and long-time natives, both born and raised in Hocking County. Their careers took them years ago to a nearby city but they have always dreamed of coming back home and honoring the area in a way that others could enjoy. Woodland Retreat is their labor of love and guests are given an opportunity to fall in love with Hocking Hills and all of its natural glory. Over the years they have always brought their 4 children and multitudes of extended family and friends to enjoy all the area has to offer. Some of their fondest memories as a family include zip-lining, kayaking down the Hocking River or hiking through Old Man’s Cave.
