Beautiful setting right off the river. We were there during the bear foraging season before their hibernation, so got a couple of bear visits right outside our unit heading down to the river. Kari was a kind hostess and very responsive. As others have written, you do hear the traffic from I 70, but that’s pretty much the case with most units in Vail as I 70 has gotten busier. Fortunately, Kari leaves many fans in the unit so we could close the window at night and put the fans on. You do get used to the traffic and the setting far outweighs that issue. Unit has its own assigned parking spaces right outside the front door. A beautiful walk on the riverfront trail takes you right to the village (take this trail as opposed to the one on the service road; much prettier). Or, trip is just a short drive into the village public parking. Groceries, gas, etc., are very close.

This is a lovely condo, looks like it was recently redone. The kitchen is workable, the beds are comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The host was very responsive. I would highly recommend.

The Johnson ski house was a true find. It’s located right on the bus line and a very short drive from both the cascade lift and the Lionshead parking structure. The location was excellent. The house was immaculate and well appointed with everything we could need - plenty of fresh towels, sheets and blankets, dishware and kitchen supplies, toiletries and even coffee. It was outstanding! Kari made us feel right at home from minute one. I highly recommend this condo and can’t wait to rent from Kari again. It’s excellent!!!

Great stay!

We had an excellent experience staying here! The place was exactly as described, very clean, great location, and wonderfully cozy and peaceful with the creek steps from the back door! The host was very communicative to ensure we received the check in information, and to provide a last minute change in parking instructions. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Would highly recommend this place!

Nice roomy 2 bedroom in West Vail - right on the bus route

We really enjoyed our stay for a ski weekend. The home was well furnished, roomy, and clean. It is literally steps from the Vail bus stop.

wonderful jewel in the Vail

This is a very wonderful place to stay!

This unit is so clean and has everything you will need. The owners are SO very helpful and respond quickly when needed. The sound of the river is an added bonus. Loved it!

A wonderful place to stay

My husband and I were visiting Vail to be close to our daughter and her family. The Johnson Ski House provided everything we needed during our stay. Kari was very accommodating and the welcome gifts were very much appreciated. I would highly recommend this property and we hope to return in the near future.

We had a fantastic stay at Kari's home in Vail. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed and then some! The location of this property is incredible given it is literally steps to the FREE bus stop. Highly recommend especially for families with children. Thank you Kari!

This is a great place. View to the creek is wonderful and cozy. Very clean and stocked with essentials. Administrator was very prompt and helpful. It felt like home.

Cozy mountain ski retreat

This is a cozy ski townhome located steps away from the shuttle. The view of the creek was beautiful and this house had everything you need for a family of four or more. The beds were super comfortable and the living space was cozy and warm with the gas fireplace. The owners are quite generous and it was a wonderful stay. We’d highly recommend this home!
