I loved the old unique property from the exterior to the interior. It was very homy and comfortable. It is in great location to Downtown to Del Mar.

The place is older but clean and has character. The location is in the heart of Del Mar. One and two blocks from the best restaurants and bars.

We had s restful long weekend!

Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy home in Del Mar. It’s a perfect place to relax and unwind, and a convenient base for exploring. We hope to return soon and we thank you for sharing it with us!

We love this cottage in Del Mar. My sister, my dog and I stayed her over New Year's last year. One of the reasons we stay here is that there are NO fireworks, which terrify my dog. We can walk everywhere from the cottage. It's very homey and comfortable. The kitchen is VERY well-equipped. The host left a bottle of my favorite wine (how did she know?) and other snacks and fruit, which was very welcoming. Everything was perfect for us.

Warm and Relaxing

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Enchanted Cottage. The quiet and cozy location was a comfortable walk from the beach and main street Del Mar activities, while providing a convenient base from which we visited many areas of interest from San Diego to Los Angeles. Our hostess was accommodating, helpful and responsive, without being intrusive, and the many treats from the generous welcome gift basket were greatly appreciated and enjoyed. Thank you for a wonderfully relaxing week!

Home away

We really enjoyed our stay. We needed a place to go for the entire family to work and do schooling during the pandemic while our house was being renovated. We each found our quiet place and were able to relax at the same time. Our husky loved looking out over the street in front every morning. Even though it was pretty warm, we were able to stay adequately cooled off with the fans and air conditioning in the living room.

A Wonderful Place

This cottage is lovely and the location can't be beat. The description and pictures accurately depict the house, which is nestled in a very nice residential community. We particularly liked listening to the fountain at night and the lovely sitting areas in the front and back to enjoy the fabulous San Diego weather. A glass of wine while swinging on the covered porch was the perfect ending to the day. Having a driveway to park in was an added bonus as parking is at a premium on weekends. We stayed with our 3 boys in mid July and enjoyed walking to the beach and restaurants (Sbicca was a favorite), as well as the proximity to all of the attractions around San Diego. It was a very quick drive to La Jolla, Lego Land, the zoo and, our favorite, San Diego Surfing Academy in Carlsbad. The owner and her assistant were responsive to every request. We were greeted by vases of fresh flowers and even a welcome basket with fruit, snacks and wine when we arrived.

LOVED our stay

My sister and I and my dog stayed at the Del Mar cottage for a week. We had a LOVELY time. The host left goodies, fruit, coffee and a few essential groceries for us. The kitchen is very well-equipped with high-quality cookware. The fenced-in yard is perfect for a dog. The house is very secure. The location is quiet, you can hear the ocean waves at night. The water pressure is excellent with ready hot water. The entire house has filtered soft water. There's a wall heater for the living room and plenty of space heaters for other rooms. The bed was very comfortable for me. We walked the dog to local parks and the beach and drove a short distance to an off-leash dog beach. We walked to dinner or lunch to several good restaurants. A favorite was the ceviche at Salt and Lime. To us, the cottage felt very homey and cozy. If you want all the décor to be matchy-matchy, stay in a hotel. This is an authentic Del Mar cottage. Another aspect which was great for us was that there were very few fireworks on New Year's Eve. I think Del Mar must have restrictions around fireworks. This was so much better for my dog compared to hearing hours of fireworks. I might need to book again over the 4th of July. We felt safe, welcomed, cozy and comfortable at the cottage.

Cozy cottage by the sea

Enjoyed its close proximity to everything we wanted to see and do for our vacation, including the beach, SeaWorld and Legoland. Cozy home with an ocean view. Quiet neighbors with a Starbucks around the corner. Nice!

This home is in a great location, has a true well cared for home feel to it, wonderful backyard for barbecuing, and Sandra is an amazing host. You will enjoy your stay and we look forward to coming back again one day!

A great place to relax

My family really enjoyed our stay at this lovely home in Del Mar. It is in a great location - quiet street, yet just a 3-min walk to shops and dining and 10-min walk to a really good beach. Ample patio space for hanging out and eating with family - we relaxed out front each night and watched the sun set over the water. We definitely would stay here again!

Great stay for our family

We enjoyed our stay at the Enchanted Cottage. It is a super cute 1950's cottage. Our family really enjoyed the outdoor space. The front patio had two different seating areas. We could see the ocean and it was great for looking at stars at night. The back patio space was great with the outdoor covered area. We loved the location because in a short walk you could be at Sea Grove Park (great sunsets) or to PowerHouse Park which has beach access. It was easy to get take out food with the main street so close. The dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard and the Del Mar dog beach (about a 5 minute drive). We enjoyed our family time in this cozy cottage.

Del Mar Getaway

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay at this comfortable, beautifully maintained cottage in old Del Mar. It provides a quiet retreat yet close to town and the beach. Our host Sandra was very friendly, helpful and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the Cottage

Comfortable and charming home just a few minutes’ walk to the center of town. Lovely covered patio in back and beautiful yard in front. You can enjoy the sun or shade. The environment is just perfect inside and out. Would definitely recommend!

Completely charming, plenty of space, lovely location

This spacious charming older home met all our needs and more. We spent time in every outdoor garden area and living space. The setting and spaces allowed us to thoroughly enjoy our time together. The location is perfect: a short walk to beach and restaurants. The kitchen is well equipped. The owner has put thought into so many details we felt very comfortable relaxing there. Loved it!
