It was exactly what I was looking for. Large yard right on the lake. We took our dogs and they had plenty of room to run around. Couldn't be happier!

Our stay at Shoreside was everything we were looking for. The view was awesome and the cottage had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Beach access is a little challenging but we weren't there to sit on the beach. We would definitely stay here again though. Thank you for the use of your lovely cottage Jodi!

Disappointed with cleanliness. We were greeted with 8 cans of bug spray on a table/tray-centerpiece. Should have been a head’s up! No screens in rickety windows (found accordion screens to put in windows but screens were challenging to secure and a couple windows popped out.) Lots & lots of bugs. Dirty silverware drawer. Too many junk drawers. Did more cleaning on a vacation than I imagined. Countertops, table, & drawers were dirty & no dishwasher. 3 overhead ceiling fans were very buzzy (especially since we couldn’t keep windows open). Why all the post-it notes? Just have a nice binder for all needed information. Old, gross stuff in medicine cabinet. Finally figured out where to access the beach entrance. Dead tree in front of home. Shoveled crap off picnic tables and used our own small grill that we brought. Grates on their grill were rusty. Sure it’s a family log-cabin but when you’re charging guests you should create something more inviting and not rely on just log cabin-walls to welcome newcomers.

The perfect lake cottage! My family and I had a wonderful stay here and fully enjoyed the lake, the huge yard, and the beautiful sunsets. The communication with the owner was helpful with quick responses. We would absolutely stay here again, highly recommend!

Amazing little cottage

Cutest little cottage. It was so homey and the beach was amazing. It is such a hidden little gem. The privacy and view are unbeatable.

Lovely stay, beautiful property! The view and grounds were breathtaking. Cottage is old school/rustic/charming and comfortable. Could not ask for a better location!

Perfect Quiet Getaway on the Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage on Lake Michigan with a deep family history and magnificent lake view. Will the property manager was supremely hospitable and made us feel right at home. We are sure to return!

Great location on Lake Mich, challenging beach access

Cottage location and Lake Michigan views excellent. Cute and quaint, but bedroom and bathroom need immediate updating. Beautiful beach, but beach access from property challenging for older adults.

Weekend getaway

The property was awesome. Perfect weather all three days. The house had everything we needed. The owner and caretaker were very friendly. Thank you for the fresh cut asparagus. Will be back.

Here for a wedding

We attended a wedding in Saugatuck and needed a place to stay. We were delighted with the view of the lake, as well as the friendliness of the caretaker, Will. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us, a first out of the many rentals we have used. A charming little cottage!

Yellow cottage

Wonderful stay , sunset and view is fantastic, very peaceful...everything you need , my sister and myself stayed a few nights to have time away . Brought my dog , huge area for him to wander. Everything was neat and clean. Even left us a bottle of wine to enjoy while watching sun go down .several small parks , south , to hike down to beach .thank you so much for a lovely place to stay .

EXCEPTIONAL!!!

This is the perfect quaint lake cabin to fit the surroundings! The view was spectacular! We had a fire every night in the fire pit. We will be back and I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a convenient place to call home base while visiting the surrounding towns. The owners are very kind and thoughtful and I loved their dog Iris!

Harrington Cottage

Charming barn converted to a cottage.Very clean fit are objective of staying with easy access to beach with are 2 dogs.Dogs had some running room,didn’t have to be leashed all the time. Will the property host was great helping us find are way around the area towns. A true Lake Michigan experience. Jim D

The location is wonderful. Nice big yard and easy path down to the beach.The cottage is comfortable and clean.Updates needed for AC in the hot summer sunand moldy carpeting by the single window AC unit that does not adequately cool the whole cottage.Blinds or awnings needed facing lake and western sun.Property manager responsive and friendly.If updates were made we would return again.

Had an amazing time on a great property. Everything was all ready for us when we got there. Including everything we needed for a fire. My daughter said sleeping on the porch was one of the most relaxing nights she had. Very out of the way. So if you want a time away from people this place is great. Also communication was wonderful. Even when i called because i was lost. Lol

Short summer vacation

This is a great place with a super friendly caretaker, Will. The cabin was perfect for the two of us with 2 bedrooms and small bath. There's a sitting area inside facing Lake Michigan or lots of outdoor seating on a really large lawn area overlooking the lake. We weren't able to access the shoreline easily due to erosion but if you can get down there (I did!), it's beautiful. Wonderful sunsets and close to Holland, Douglas & Saugatuck but private and quiet fr cozy nights. We'll definitely be back to enjoy this property again!

Great alternative to camping

The cottage is perfectly adequate for a family of 5 or 6 to stay in. We were looking for an alternative to renting a camping cabin and this was excellent. Plenty to do in nearby South Haven and there is a park with a beach just down the road from the cottage. The property itself is rather large and features a fire pit, gazebo, swings, and lots of grass to run around in. There is also the view of the lake as well. The TV has all the modern streaming apps to kip younger kids occupied. Good wifi as well. We had a great time and recommend this to anyone.
