The cabin was set up so perfectly for our needs. Listening to the elk bugle from the porch and from our bedrooms every night in September was amazing. The host Bryan communicated with us at a moment’s notice at all times for anything that we needed. I would highly recommend this property for a beautiful stay in the Lincoln national forest.

Cloudcroft Hideaway exceeds expectations. Our family enjoyed the comfortable common area, the back porch, exploring the property with some steep climbs, walking the trails in Lincoln National Park, visiting White Sands National Park, and shopping the downtown Cloudcroft area. The house is so peaceful and calming.

We were very pleased with the stay overall and the cabin was incredible. We loved all the little touches, decor, and finishes. The view of the mountains was amazing. We were a little worried before arriving it would be too remote and too far away from Cloudcroft but after hearing absolutely no fireworks (which was a goal of ours), we knew we made the right choice. The owner/operator was very responsive when a breaker blew and was able to get us up and going in no time. Highly recommend.

Great stay at a truly amazing property! Very well-appointed and beautifully decorated, with everything you need - and more - in an absolutely stunning location. We loved reading and chilling on the porch and enjoying nature, and venturing out to Cloudcroft, White Sands, and Ruidoso. Beds are super comfortable, everything is very high quality. We were concerned about the gravel road before we arrived, but it’s very well-maintained - just take it slow - and we really enjoyed being off the beaten path. Be sure watch out for elk if you’re driving the area after dark!

The views from the living area and deck are absolutely breathtaking. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, the nights were chilly, but the house temp was very comfortable, the showers and water pressure were great, and the well-equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare delicious meals and enjoy memorable family gatherings together. The host provided detail directions to the property and directions to get into the property and house. The driveway is pretty steep and it was a chore to unload all our groceries and bags up the driveway and then up several steps, but once we were settled, it was well worth it. It truly is a remote property and if you're looking for a peaceful, forest experience, this is the place. Because it is remote and to make the most of your experience it is wise to be well stocked and prepared.Our son wanted a mountain trip for his graduation and this place delivered.

We had the most wonderful Thanksgiving retreat at Brian and Tanya’s cabin in the woods! Our family of 8 gathered here and made memories we’ll cherish forever. The cabin is secluded, peaceful, and tucked high up in the beautiful mountains of Cloudcroft—exactly the escape we were hoping for.Brian and Tanya were incredibly responsive and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. The cabin itself was cozy, well-kept, and the perfect setting for our holiday celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend Thanksgiving, and we’re so grateful for the hospitality.We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a serene getaway. Thank you, Brian and Tanya, for helping us create a Thanksgiving to remember!

4 Oaks Cabin is an absolutely wonderful mountain retreat, and I give it 10-stars: From the beautifully designed cabin and thoughtful décor to the magnificent fireplace, plentiful firewood, fully stocked kitchen, and the sauna we used every evening, every detail feels carefully considered. The cabin was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and we loved cooking there nearly every night. Set high in the Lincoln National Forest and surrounded by magnificent Ponderosa pines, the setting is truly breathtaking. We spent 10 days there in mid-August, and each evening we enjoyed sitting on the deck in the cool mountain air—sweater weather in August! At night, the sky was spectacular, with more stars than we ever see from Dallas, TX including several shooting stars. There are so many hiking trails nearby and each one different and has something special to offer. We also loved the scenic drive into the charming town of Cloudcroft, which we made several times and never tired of—the 25–30 minute drive along the meadows and mountains. Our visits in Cloudcroft included visits to The Lodge for coffee and Kahlúa, and of course we had to try Mad Jack’s BBQ, which was well worth the long wait and they are rated #7 in the nation on Yelp. What we loved most, though, was the peaceful seclusion of 4 Oaks Cabin: you truly feel away from everything, yet Cloudcroft and trailheads are an easy drive when you want to explore. The hosts were also wonderful—kind, thoughtful, and incredibly responsive

If you are looking for a place to truly escape, relax, and reconnect with nature, this cabin is absolutely perfect. Nestled beside the Lincoln National Forest, it offers the kind of experience that makes you wish you had booked a longer stay.From the moment we arrived, everything felt special. The drive was beautiful, and getting to the cabin was easy. Inside, the decor was so thoughtfully curated that every detail felt intentional. The enormous fireplace created the coziest atmosphere, the views were incredible, and the sauna was the perfect place to unwind. But what truly made this place unforgettable was the surrounding nature. We saw more stars than we had ever seen before, and hearing the elk bugle in the forest was an extraordinary experience that made us feel completely immersed in the wilderness. One little tip for future guests: I would recommend bringing plenty of groceries because, once you settle in, you will find very little reason to leave, but it’s an easy drive to Cloudcroft if you want to leave this dream place!We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. If you are considering booking it, do yourself a favor and go. It is every bit as special as you hope it will be. I also would like to mention that Bryan is an amazing communicator!
