Mid week stay

It was a very cozy and conveniently located cabin. Fireplace and hottub were great and it was made very easy and relaxed to bring our dog. We were very happy with the stay!

Cozy Cabin

The cabin had all that we needed to enjoy the Sooke area. The owners were responsive and the cabin was well maintained. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Perfectly quiet and relaxing

We had an amazing time, the hottub was great. The fire pit and fire place were relaxing and the host was great at answering any of our questions. This was the perfect place to catch up with some friends I hadn't seen in a long time.

Beautiful log home family vacation

Enjoyed a wonderful family vacation relaxing, playing games, puzzles and spending time together in the hot tub. Large kitchen to cook together and cozy fireplace to keep you warm. Pet friendly accommodation but is on a busy road with only partial fencing.

Great yard!

We had a fantastic stay with 3 kids (1, 8, and 11). The yard is gorgeous and the house is lovely. Our only complaint is that,we should have booked more nights!

Cozy comfort… just what we needed

My wife, daughter and I (and beagle) had a fantastic getaway experience in Sooke. Log house was comfortable with great amenities and location. Loved the hot tub and fire pit at night. Thumbs up!

New Year’s visit with 4 adults and 2 kids

A great cabin with everything you need for a comfortable stay with a family. Getting in and out of the driveway with the car can be a bit challenging but otherwise a perfect stay. The house is well stocked and the hot tub was great. Clean and easy to check in

Perfect for a Moms getaway

The check in was super welcoming and they had a fire going in the fireplace for us on arrival. The place was very clean, and stocked with anything and everything we needed. It’s a beautiful property with gorgeous ocean views. Lots of natural light and surprisingly quiet given that it’s on the main road. I will definitely return.

Beautiful Cozy Cabin on the Coast

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at Handsome Dan’s at Otter Point over New Years weekend. The location was perfect for day trips exploring the west coast. The cabin was very comfortable, well-appointed and just plain gorgeous. We had everything we needed to prepare meals in the large kitchen and greatly enjoyed the hot tub. It was an extra bonus that it’s a pet-friendly rental and our pup felt right at home!

Otterpoint does not disappoint

We love Sooke and Otterpoint. The House is amazing and had all the ammenities. I love to cook for my family where ever we go so appreciated the fully stocked kitchen tools and gas oven! The fireplace was an added luxury.

This property is perfect

We wanted to show our French exchange student a little slice of Canada. This property exceeded our expectations. We arrived to a warm glow up a magical staircase. The decks and hot tub were beautiful and the house was beautifully appointed and spotless. Every detail was charming. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great rustic cabin!

My husband Steve, cousin Theona and her hubby, Milton and our two small dogs stayed at this lovely log cabin last week. We had a wonderful time. The cabin was very well equipped with everything you need in your kitchen. There was lots of room inside and the hot tube was a bonus. We would definitely go back again. Thank you France and Dan👍😁

So beautiful

What a special space. Gorgeous property, beautiful interior, great fire. Lights around the stairs were a magical touch :) Only issue was it was raining a lot and there’s no covered area to keep towels or other things dry on the hot tub deck… but we made do!

It’s ok

As log cabins go, this one is ok, a bit tired in parts, 2 broken recliners in the lounge, work tops in kitchen need updating and we weren’t fans of the spiral staircase and the bedroom doors, but, overall it’s ok

Hands down best cabin ever

This property had all what we needed, I wish I knew there was a waffle maker. It had probably more cooking utensils then other properties I have stayed and were in good shape, my only regret was not staying a extra day. Communication with Dan was great , my dogs were comfy and slept infront of the fireplace .
