The Gingerbread House

Nice place to stay. The kid’s especially loved the swimming pool. The location is great for activities at the New River Gorge, Hawks Nest, and Babcock State Park.

New river ridge motorcycle trip

Pat was very hospitable and kept us with firewood and the house was clean and fit our group of 9 riders. Close to the bridge and Fayetteville and plenty to do in the area. Very great place to stay.

Weekend getaway

Cousins got together for a weekend getaway. House worked great for our stay. Owners were quick to respond and very helpful when we had a question. Great place and conveniently located to rafting and zip lining. Would stay here again!

Great Adventure Trip

Stayed at the gingerbread house with 6 adults and it was the perfect getaway to explore all that New River Gorge has to offer! Very spacious and reasonably close to town. Hot tub and pool were a huge bonus.

Great time

This was a great property to rent. Not far from white water rapids. It was on a quiet spacious hillside and it had had everything needed for a great three day weekend.

The property owner was very nice and helpful. I appreciated their hospitality and willingness to assist in anyway possible. The house was everything that we needed and the kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. We plan on coming back soon to visit.

We had a great time at the property. The owners were pleasant to deal with and brought fire wood when we needed it. It was quiet and peaceful, having the pool was a bonus with our grandson when we were not out doing activities

Fun time

Our family had a great time and so enjoyed the Gingerbread place. The pool was great and we loved the personal attention that the property owners gave us. If we needed anything they was quick to get us what we needed. Thanks for a great place to stay.

Wonderful

11 of us had a fabulous time. Location was wonderful, the kids loved the pool, adults loved the kitchen and the fact the large gathering room was with the kitchen. Thank you Pat & Debbie for a wonderful time.

Absolutely Perfect!

Pat and Debbie made our trip so incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. We did not want to leave because we felt right at home. Amazing communication, accommodations and you will feel rejuvenated after staying at the Gingerbread house . We are planning our next trip next year and will make this our yearly destination. Highly recommend this fantastic property.

we love having guests that want to return again and again, we enjoyed having this fine couple in our home and felt at ease knowing they were taking good care of it . We hated to see them go home!!!!! Birthday Weekend

We had a great time! The house was great and accommodated our group of 10 perfectly! The hosts were very kind and anything we needed they were happy to provide! Even told us where the good local restaurants were and some trails. He even brought us a Cornhole set! I will be back and will be looking for this place again!!!!

Weekend Getaway

Needed a place to meet up with some cousins where we didn't have to impose on family in the local area. This place was ideal for a much needed getaway as well. General amenities were just enough to keep the fast pace city life back in DC. Pat is an awesome host, the house was extremely clean, and the peaceful atmosphere was absolutely what the doctor ordered...
