Great location. But we did feel the unit should be better equipped. There was no soap in the bathrooms and only two towels. There was no sofa to sit on so there really wasn’t a place to sit and relax in the morning. The furniture was very dated. However it was clean.

Dear Guests we have Larger more expensive Luxury units that have a sofa and have updated items the unit that was booked is Standard Basic and as per pictures does not have a sofa. Any extra soaps or towel s are in the closet In the Main entrance. Thank you for staying at PBH

The suite was spacious Great! fresh and Very Clean, we mostly ate out but there is a kitchinette. We liked the pool, the beach was very nice its about 1.5 blocks and to enter we went on the street called Sunset avenue which is a street over. We Got Great take out pizza at Amici Market and took it ti the beach many nice restaurants also more at City place across the bridge. Fun holidays we will return

Stay for the unmatched location

Close to best restaurants, beaches and shopping the island has to offer. The unit needs a lot of improvements but we managed to have a great time.

Great location - comfortable apartment

This is my second time staying at the property. I love it for the location, size and ease of access to the fun stuff in and around Palm Beach. The description is very accurate. I will be back again next year!

Best Location In Pb

The unit is just as advertised with everything you need for your stay including beach chairs and umbrella. Everything you could want is within walking distance from the condo. We enjoyed the beach, pool and many great restaurants nearby. It also has a beautiful lobby and lanai to relax with a book. Looking forward to a return visit.

Great Location but very tired

While the price seemed reasonable by the time we added in the 300 cleaning fee for a one night stay we could probably have stayed somewhere nicer for the same price. The pool was wonderfull and the location terrific. The early check in was great but the fron desk did not have that information and it took a while for them to confirm with the manager. The twin room had mold over the radiator and the unit smelled musty.

Wonderful small apartment in the center of everything

I just loved this property. The location is perfect - walking distance to so much that I didn’t even need a rental car. If I had to travel farther than walking distance I used Uber. The apartment is very nice, well maintained and clean. The pool on the property is very nice, too. As mentioned in the description, the building is older and at present is undergoing a restoration. This caused no problems for me but is worth noting. Communication with the property manager was fantastic. I will be back next year!

Bad reviews are dramatic

Yes, this is not a five star property. But it is clean, nice, and comfortable. It's just not renovated, but that is written in the description. They made us wait an hour after check-in to clean the apartment, but we otherwise faced no issues. We had a great time and the property exceeded our expectations! We recommend.

Terrible experience

The unit was filthy. Mold on the fans, dirty very worn carpeting,. We wouldn't consider staying there. We found other accomodat I ons to stay. I had hoped it would be nice because the location was good for us. VRBO should not have it o n their listing or be more upfront about it.

Oh! This is very strange, we were in contact with the guest because the payment did not go through! the issue was resolved … the seemed happy and getting ready to go for dinner at the Breakers Hotel Strange review ! Maybe the 5 star accommodation along with the 5 star price $$of the Breakers would have suited this guest needs better !

Not Great

I was very hopeful about this property as I've looked at it for years as a possibility to stay. The building smells moldy as you enter. The person was not at the check in desk, and once she came back, we found out the owner had not emailed to have us on the list. So the whole check in took 15-20 min. The hotel is quite old, and while I love character, there was a LOT that needed to be updated to ensure there was not a moldy/mildew smell. It felt like a seedy motel with a fancy facade. The bathtubs were quite old and the kitchen disgusting. The old beverage fridge smelled like urine. The only redeeming factor was the proximity to the beach. We will not be staying here again and do not recommend.

If you like mold and odors…

The building and location are great! Check in was ok. Upon entering the room we were met with a smell that hit you in the face! It was worse in the center room. It was a moldy mildew smell that someone attempted to cover by spraying way too much air freshener. Upon bringing it to the owners attention, I was told it should be fine, turn the a/c on. Shocker… that did not work. The first bathroom shower was dotted with black mold. We made the best of it, based on plans and proximity to the beach. We ended up at a hotel on the mainland for the end of our stay. I will be reporting this to the county health dept. The whole experience was frustrating.

All for a discounted rate considering prices On the Island and on Sunrise avenue Walking distance to World Famous Breakers Hotel We are glad that you enjoyed the island of Palm Beach

Unfortunately, it's a bit of a dump.

Pros are location. Cons are many. The condition and quality of the rental unit did not meet our expectations when compared to the description provided and the fee charged. For example, we discovered a worm and other insects- including one in a bed. The bathrooms are in poor condition including holes in counters, a broken towel rack, a dirty shower curtain and mold. Only two windows had screens. We lost power two times and had to find the breaker box using a flashlight to restore power. The unit has a very strong, unpleasant (musty/moldy) smell which is made worse by an attempt to mask with glade air fresheners. The air conditioning was very loud but still seemed ineffective. Due to the issues outlined, we asked for a partial refund but were refused. The owner didn't offer a cancellation policy so we were rather stuck, as payment was already issued and it was an event weekend so there was a lack of vacancies elsewhere. This building has other units with other owners. Stay in one of those instead. I wish I could include photos...those would speak for themselves.

No Refund: Total Scam

This apartment was disgusting. Filthy rugs, mystery stains on quilts, soap scum in tubs, dust covering everything. We stayed 1 of our 6 nights as to just find other lodging. Checked out by 9:45am the next day and the host refused to refund us. I have pictures of everything mentioned above- including garbage left from last people. I believe this should be reported as they said repeatedly that it was NO REFUND- basically saying, it was my fault I didn’t understand the agreement. The host eventually stopped mailing back after their excuse of no refund and I didn’t complain sooner- had been said several times and I continued to point out the immense amount of deficits. An earlier complaint and cleaning crew could not have fixed the majority of deficiencies and overall neglect this apartment has. I should have been payed to stay here. It was like a crime scene- the only thing missing was the taped outline of a body on the floor. This rental is unethical. Location- great. Early check in- great…. Until you realize what you are checking into. Unfortunately a great location does not take the part of a filthy, mismanaged apartment. If location is all you need; I’d say you’d be better off with a sleeping bag on the nearest beach. Less chance of disease.

Guest arrived at 12 noon we accommodated early check in at no charge and she liked the apt. Guest used all towels all beds dishes etc 2 days later her friend arrived and this friend wanted to stay at another location or Hotel Guest reached out and we explained that This is a non refundable reservation The guest said “ you can easily re rent tonight “ our reply was “ if you want us to re rent to another guest then all the complaints are not true ?” The guest said we want a few days money return or we put a bad review. We would not rent to this guest again. Management

This is not what it seems....

We were very dismayed when we arrived and decided within an hour to leave even though we had no idea where to go. We are a senior citizen couple who booked this apartment for 6 weeks. The photos are misleading. Broken refrigerator, broken closet, broken toilet, told by owner who lives in Canada that she had no on site manager and we were on our own, until the "cleaning lady" came by in 2 days. (as though the cleaning lady could fix these problems.) Aside from that 2 bathroom toilet counters were broken, old, old furniture, old cushions covering old furniture, everything run down and depressing. VRBO was no help when we called for their help. The owner re rented the apartment after we left but did not send us any refunds. We were lucky we paid by credit card and were able to dispute the payments based on misrepresentation. Our money was thankfully refunded. Afterwards we noticed the bad review (This is not what it seems, in 2014)and wish we had seen it before we booked. We totally agree with that review. I am sure the owner will write a rebuttal that will try to make us look unreasonable, but believe me we have rented with VRBO 4 times before and had nothing but good experiences and responsible and responsive owners. Our November 2018 Stay at the Palm Beach Hotel/Condominiums

My eighty-seven year old mother and I spent three nights at the Palm Beach Hotel in November at Property 509981. I chose a two bedroom/2 full bath condo with a common room in the middle and small kitchen so we could have some privacy. The hotel is old...a historical landmark..and is showing its age a bit. There is a lovely pool, no work out facility (although there is a door for one), a laundry room (which we didn't use but does take quarters), and a lovely lobby and front veranda where we had breakfast, bought at Publix which is right across the street, one morning. Parking can be a nuisance. Between 10-6, you have to move the car after an hour, but can leave it between 6pm-10am. Being it was November, and not quite "season" yet, this was not a problem for us. The beach is about a two block walk, again parking can be a problem, but it's doable. The "Trail" where one can walk or ride a bike, is close as are many restaurants. West Palm is right across the bridge, which is close and the airport is only about twenty minutes away. The rooms we rented were very nice. Each room had it's own tv, although it would have been nice to have one to watch together in the common room. In the master bedroom there is a king sized bed with a closet filled with towels, toiletries and hair dryers (there are now two since we left one there) so ask before you go if you need to bring anything. The bath is showing its age and the hand held shower doesn't always stay in the holder making for a wet bathroom shower one day. The sink, tub, and faucet have some aged spots, but the bed and lighting in that room was good. The air conditioner and wifi were fine. The other room, with two twin beds, was also nice, but the blanket could have been nicer (my mom's opinion). Lots of hangers, beach chairs, and other supplies in the closet. There was one broken lamp, but that's easily fixed. I also would recommend trash cans in the bedrooms. The kitchen is small, but we didn't use it except for the microwave since we ate out most of the time. There was another closet that had all sorts of supplies, which was great, from laundry detergent to batteries. We really liked this hotel. The staff was friendly (we bought them our left over food), and the room was clean and suited our needs. Christina was in email contact with us throughout our stay. We know Palm Beach really well and can answer any questions one may have.

Perfect location and wonderful suite

This is a fantastic find for the best location. A clean two bedroom suite was the perfect place for three weeks in Palm Beach. The manager was very responsive. Thank you!
