Ideal property for family with school age children. Beautiful location with excellent seating inside and out with dock and beach access to the lake for swimming and kayak. Very pleasing decor inside and lovely, quiet lakefront with combination of sunny and shady places under towering pines. We also enjoyed the closeness to town where the kids could find playmates at the municipal beach and playground.

Family getaway

We absolutely loved the property. Larry is very informative and is right there if needed. Definitely looking to come bacm again. Beautiful quite part of the lake.

Beautiful well kept property at a great location

You can tell that the host takes great care in paying attention to detail. The property is meticulous. The location is beautiful and quiet. Convenient location. Rooms and beds were very comfortable. Great communication from the host before our visit and when we first arrived. We had a wonderful and relaxing time.

Another wonderful week!!

Wonderful week with family!

Just got back from our stay at this comfortable cottage. We had stayed here a few years ago and Larry has made quite a few improvements. It was extremely clean, comfortable and has all the amenities needed for a nice stay. It's on a quiet end of First Lake, has a nice sandy beach for the younger ones, a nice dock and fire pit with Adirondack chairs. We so enjoy watching and hearing the loons everyday/night. It is so easy to communicate with Larry and he makes the process stress free.

WONDERFUL!!!

The cottage was very clean, kitchen had all the needed dishes/ cooking utensils along with a dishwasher. All the beds were comfortable and there were fans in every bedroom which we needed for the hot, hot week we had. The swimming area was sandy and also had a great dock. Larry was so easy to deal with and available for any issues. Couldn't have had a nicer time!! Thanks Larry!!

Great property. Nice yard. Beach for kids.quiet

This is a great place for families. At the end of the lake and very quiet and relaxing. We had a leak under the sink and Larry was right on it the same day. Place was clean when we arrived. I couldn’t believe we never had any mosquitoes at night!! Having air was wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a quiet lakefront Adirondack home. Thanks Larry we all had a great time. My grandkids didn’t want to leave.

We had a wonderful week with our children and grandchildren at this property. The house was very clean, well laid out, and nicely decorated. The location in a quiet cove, along with a small beach area were an asset. We enjoyed being so close to so many trails and beautiful beaches. Air conditioning was a welcome amenity as our week was hot and humid. Larry was easy to communicate with. The lakefront yard is flat, well-maintained, and, therefore, usable. I would highly recommend this property to any family wanting to enjoy a very pleasant Adirondack stay.

Sibling Reunion

The property is great and had all we wanted, lakefront, beautiful setting and views, fire pit, yard for games, proximity to Old Forge and Inlet, four bedrooms and two baths, very comfortable. We had a great time and working with owner was a breeze. He is very attentive, friendly, efficient and helpful.

Relax and Enjoy

The cottage was a perfect fit for our family getaway. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably, a big table that we all could sit down at for our family dinners and a wonderful patio outside where we enjoyed our lunches everyday together. We had a fire in the fire pit every night to wind down from the day. It was very peaceful and enjoyable stay. Close to the hiking trails and Old Forge for the casual shopping. It was an all around good time. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us.

You can find Heaven on Fern lane.

This was our first time renting a house and the whole experience was wonderful. The house is fully stocked with everything you would need. The beds are comfortable and this week the A/C turned to be a great benefit. The best thing about this house is the location on the water. Lots of memories were made with kayaking, swimming, and evening fires. We can’t wait for next year.

Great getaway

The entire process was easy and everything about the cabin lived to its expectations. We particularly appreciated its location being on a bay and away from the major traffic of First Lake, making a quieter and safer stay. The cabin was spacious and accommodated our family well, which was great during the nights or when the weather didn’t cooperate. Would stay again.

Great location!

We had a girls weekend at this cottage and it was wonderful! The location with dock, grassy area by the lake and firepit area was so nice! View from the deck is amazing. We saw loons, ducks and geese right in front of the cottage each day. The large table for 10 was perfect and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, glasses and cookware. The furnishings were clean and comfortable. My only criticism of the VRBO listing is that the picture made the living room look huge and it definitely was not that size in reality. Other than that, everything was nice and I would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family!

Lovely cabin retreat on the water

We had a lovely time in this cabin. It's very cozy and comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked, and the outside is very cute and well located (right on water) and perfect for kids as it has a little beach area.

Friends getaway to nature

Quiet cove

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The sandy beach area was perfect for our children to play in the shallow water. We enjoyed paddling down into the cove and to Dog Island. The house had plenty of space for our family of four, including a large dining room table, two full bathrooms, and lots of bedrooms. The house is close to Old Forge and shopping, which have found is helpful when you have young kids. Larry was great at keeping us informed about any changes (e.g., extra cleaning due to COVID-19) and easy to communicate with.

Perfect family vacation spot

Impeccably maintained home in a top quality neighborhood on a quiet bay with a protected sandy swim area for our toddlers. Good fishing, wildlife watching (loons, beavers, ducks, geese, deer). Three generations of our family found something to do every day. The host provides more information on the property and things to do in the area than the best travel agent.
