Beautiful place on quiet cove, close to all the restaurants on the water if your going by boat. Plenty of parking. Even room to park our boat trailer. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year!

This place was so amazing! The host was very communicative and so easy to work with. The house is such a neat and beautiful property! There were a couple doors on the bathrooms that don’t really close all the way that could use some fixing but overall we had a wonderful stay!! Would definitely recommend!

We had such a wonderful week at Makua Jim's! This property is newly renovated, professionally decorated, clean, and the open layout on the main level provided for lake views from almost every spot in the house! This location is top notch - Sunrise Beach puts you at a spot where you can access many popular lake front dining establishments! The property is also in a cove which is important as it protects you from big waves from the main channel and makes swimming off the dock much more enjoyable! Fishing off the dock kept my two kids busy for hours! The beds were very comfortable, even the pull out couch (brand new!) was rated as very comfortable by my teenage son! The master suite is beautiful, it made for a relaxing retreat with lake views and the private deck off the master suite was a special place to enjoy morning coffee! We look forward to coming back to stay here again!

From the moment we arrived everything felt thoughtfully prepared and welcoming. The home was stocked extremely well with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Communication with the hosts was excellent; responsive, friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience, which made everything feel easy and stress free.Being right on the water was an absolute highlight. The setting is peaceful and beautiful and we spent a lot of time simply sitting by the lake and taking it all in. We especially loved the ease of being able to step right outside and swim whenever we wanted. It made enjoying the water so effortless and was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The added water toys were a fantastic bonus and made the experience even more fun and memorable.We also had so much fun playing the retro arcade system in the home. It was such a fun extra and brought out plenty of laughs and friendly competition during our stay.The location was very convenient and made it easy to get to nearby attractions and essentials. This place is great for both couples and families, offering a relaxing and versatile getaway.Overall, this was an incredible getaway and we would absolutely love to return. We highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a peaceful, fun and memorable stay right on the water!

This vacation rental is fabulous! Upon walking in the front door you know it's going to be a wonderful stay.The house is immaculate and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare a meal. There is a new grill for the outdoor cooking. My favorite spot in the house is the second floor balcony, which has an awesome view of the lake perfect for a morning coffee or a night time cocktail. The location is close to many places to eat at. The Lakehouse 13 is in walking distance from the house but we drove as the road to the Lakehouse 13 isn't really safe for walking in my opinion. You can dock your boat or Jet Ski at Point Oasis Marina which is next to the Lakehouse 13. This is a very homey place to stay infact it's so nice that when our 8 nights were up we would have extended our stay if the house had been available. Jim is a very responsive host!
