Marty’s Beach House is a gem. And Marty is a gem! The place was immaculate and is well appointed. The view is stunning, Marty communicates thoughtfully. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

Marty's Ocean Beach House was a wonderful getaway for two of us for our anniversary. It was so peaceful sitting on the beautiful, private balcony overlooking the ocean. The checkin-in and out process was a breeze. The place is comfy, spotless, and although we did not cook, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need if you were going to. There are tide pools and a beach within walking distance and tons of restaurants and shopping nearby. Marrty was an excellent host. She answered our questions or helped us when needed very quickly. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this beach house to others.

Excellent place to stay in OB! The check-in and check-out processes were very easy as detailed instructions were provided well in advance of our stay. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. The location was amazing and the rooms were very comfortable. Looking forward to staying against next time I'm in San Diego!

AMAZING STAY! We had a wonderful stay this VRBO and couldn't have been happier with our experience. The home was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. It was well stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect! The host was friendly, responsive and made the entire process easy from booking through checkout. We would absolutely stay here again!

This is a great property located right in the ocean. It was a beautiful spot to watch sunset from the balcony or meander down to the beach. Marty is a great communicator and excellent host, everything was as expected and we had a lovely stay.

Check in was smooth and problem free. The home is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The beds, linens and pillows are all conducive to a restful nights' sleep. Marty is a gem and very helpful and kind. She was gracious and a wonderful host, I feel that if I lived nearby, she and I would be great coffee drinking friends, she is interesting to talk to and seems like a very genuine, caring person. We didn't see many neighbors and those we did meet were friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and seemed safe. Not a lot of traffic. We were within a short walk to the main hub of town and enjoyed walking there in the evenings. Parking at the beach house was great with no problems at all. We loved sitting on the deck at night watching the sunsets and beachgoers. We plan to come back next year because this is one of the best homes we've stay at in Ocean Beach. Everyone in our party loved every bit of our one week stay. Thanks for hosting us, Marty, hopefully we'll see you next year.

It's all about the view and the sound of the waves. Marty's place is immaculate. Kitchen and baths fully stocked. Beds - beds, so comfortable. Near the airport so some plane noise, not a big deal for me. Not in a crowded part of San Diego, so peace and quiet reigned. Great communication and thoughtful touches made my time seemed to be visiting a friend's house. Enjoy!

Everything about the proximity to great spots, the views, and communication with the host was good. Marty was very communicative throughout the process. One of the fastest responders of any host I’ve messaged. What the listing doesn’t tell you explicitly is that there’s no A/C, and the property is located directly in line with the SAN airport. I checked again and didn’t see it listed in the description; it’s just absent in the amenities list. In fact, the listing says it has “all amenities.” The unit was unbearably hot. While some relief came from opening the windows, the plane noise made for impossible sleep and conversation. In the end, we abandoned the property after the first night and found a hotel nearby. This is not a property for relaxation in the height of summer. I’ve had near-perfect success booking through VRBO, and the ratings indicated perfection. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and it has shaken my trust in VRBO.
