Welcome to our modern & cozy 4 Bed, 2 Bath Long Lake Escape! Perfect for large groups, our home sleeps 10, offering 2 main access points on 2,860 acre all sports Long Lake within a quick 8 min drive. Our home features 2 stocked kitchens, 2 living & dining rooms, outdoor bar, fire pit, & a huge serene tree-lined property with a marshy pond. Smart Tv's & games! Perfect location with 15 min to Downtown Traverse, 30 minutes to Dunes, surrounded by wineries, restaurants & golf courses!
Traveling with a group or multiple families? Rent out both units in this spacious, fully updated retreat. 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 fully stocked kitchens, 2 living rooms, 2 dining spaces & a total of 7 beds! Tons of room for your group to spread out and have their own space for a GREAT value! Enjoy a backyard bar, fire pit, HUGE serene tree lined property with a small pond & marshy area to explore (see pics at the end) along with subtle 2,860 acre Long Lake views from the cozy front porch. Ping pong table in garage! A short 8-10 minute drive to 2 Long Lake Access points & beaches. Only 15 minutes from downtown and 30 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Just down the street you have downtown Interlochen restaurants, golf, coffee & icecream shops, putt putt, interlochen state park beach on Duck lake, Interlochen for Performing Arts & SO much more. Be sure to check out our local guidebook featuring Oakys Tavern with arguably the best wings in Up North MI (just down the street). We love this area and hope you get the opportunity to enjoy it too!
Lake access: We do not have direct access to the lake from the house. There are 2 access points on Long Lake. The access points are an 8-10 minute drive around the lake from the house. See the “additional photos” with a photo of the map and access points. The first access point is Taylor Park. The second access point is Gilbert Park/Beach.

A lovely home. Upon arrival there was mess on the floor like it was not swept, just dog hair and dirt/sand. Other than that it was clean and cozy. Bring your own knives to cook with, there weren’t very many. Instructions were clear and easy to follow! Very nice and we loved our stay.

We’re sorry about the small amount of debris you noticed by the front door. We spoke with our professional cleaning team, and it sounds like there may have been a small pile that was accidentally missed while being swept into the dustpan. We have a detailed cleaning checklist and this certainly wasn’t the standard we expect from our team. We only wish we had known during your stay, as our cleaners were nearby and we would have been happy to have them come right back and take care of it for you.
Regarding the knives, there are two sets of professional kitchen knives, one in each kitchen, so it’s possible the upstairs set was simply missed. We’ll make sure they’re clearly noted for future guests.

The house is very spacious. The furniture and decor is nice. It was a good space for our extended family vacation and our fur babies. The location is ideal since it is very close to Traverse City and easy to launch a boat on Long Lake. We did have a problem with the dishwasher, dryer, and shower, but they were all fixed within a timely matter. There were a lot of bugs in the house and outside near the Lily pad swamp. The host was very responsive to all of our needs.

This home is in a quiet neighborhood on a culdesac. It is very clean and layed out nicely to gather in the kitchen and dinning area.We had both units so we had plenty of space. It might be a little awkward for some people if you only had one of the units as you are in the same house with separate entrances and a shared laundry room. The VRBO details suggest a lake view from the front porch…. You can see the lake through the houses that are across the culdesac but I would not consider it a lake view. We ate at Oakys as suggested in the details and yes they do have great wings!! The food was very good!!Both units are awesome!! We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the cottage on long lake. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Plenty of room for a family of 6 adults to spread out. 2 of our group stayed in the upstairs unit and 4 of us stayed in the main unit. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms had plenty of storage space and towels, kitchen was well stocked and we loved sitting on the front porch and back deck. We cooked a few nights and used the large dining table for all us to eat and also play cards. We loved the ping pong table in the garage. Great family tournaments! Short drive in to Traverse City as well as Sleeping Bear Dunes. All in all, it was outstanding. We will rent again!
