This is a beautiful immaculately kept house and property. The hosts Richard and Brenda could not be kinder and were so helpful in answering questions . It is a perfect quiet secluded sanctuary on the water , .but not a far drive from the town of Beaufort or the ferry to Cape lookout. I had a wonderful stay there and I can't wait to go back. This place is a treasure.

This property was wonderful!! We hope to make it a yearly trip. Peaceful and quiet and only 45 min to Beaufort! We saw dolphins, pelicans, blue herons, crabs and caught a few fish! Couldn’t have been better. The Laudermilks were great hosts and have thought of everything to make the vacation home perfect!

The homes was perfect for us. We loved our stay. Beautiful setting and loved the dock. Perfect for our boat with low dock. We fished every day! The hosts were great; very accommodating with great hospitality. The home was very clean and enjoyed cooking on gas stove. We will definitely be returning. Looking forward for an extended stay!!!

For almost 74 years, I have looked for a place such as this! From the moment you arrive, you feel as if you have come home. The cottage itself is so warm and inviting it feels as if you have found a mixture of a convenient modern home and your grandma's house. The touches of Brenda's childhood home plus every amenity you could imagine make this such a wonderful and unique stay. Then step out the back door into paradise...a deck that is mere feet from the water, views that cannot be beat, a dock extending into the sound with a covered area and a swing on the end AND an enclosed fenced area for your furbabies! Richard is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and so concerned that everything is to your liking, even loaning this "old woman" a crab trap to try my hand at it and offering to let us leave with a refund when the power went out temporarily. Of course, we would have had to be blasted out of the place! Seriously, this is the very best rental we have ever done through VRBO. While still there, we booked another visit in May! Thank you, Richard and Brenda, for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home!!

Very beautiful and quiet place to relax and enjoy the views! We had an amazing time! Richard and his wife are great and very accommodating! Would highly recommend if you are looking for serenity and a clean peaceful place to vacation!

The place was great, quite, peaceful. The weather was great, Bea our bloodhound loved sitting out on the deck every morning and checking out the birds, having coffee on the deck every morning watching the sunrise was fantastic couldn't ask for a better place to relax.

I could not have found a better rental! Very quiet, very secluded, just lovely. The host was very accommodating and friendly. Everything was just as described in the descriptions and photos. Very, very satisfied!
