Questa casa sul lungomare con due camere da letto e due bagni si trova proprio accanto al Davis Ferry Service ea pochi minuti da Cape Lookout. Ottimo accesso alle Core Banks per godersi la spiaggia per il sole e le onde o la pesca e la caccia. Completamente arredato con due letti Queen e due divani letto. Il molo privato ti consente di portare la tua barca oppure puoi esplorare i corsi d'acqua con i due kayak disponibili. Sono disponibili biciclette: è possibile percorrere la strada panoramica. È disponibile anche una doccia esterna! Goditi la vista di Core Sound dal deck avvolgente o dalla Sunroom. La planimetria è aperta e ariosa, dandovi il benvenuto! We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was very clean with lovely decor and furnishings, spacious, and comfortable. The water view from every room was beautiful and we especially enjoyed the porch to just relax and enjoy the gorgeous view. We spent a lot of time there and out at the dock where we could fish and swim. The host was responsive and accommodating to our questions. We hope to return for another stay!

We spent 3 nights in August, enjoyed the pier to fish and the covered porch just to wind down. We wanted to use the canoes but we didn't get the time. Very clean space and nice kitchen !!! We are returning a second time...for a peaceful retreat.. it will be when its cooler.... looking forward to it!!

Three best friends celebrating a Birthday weekend trip. Everything was very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Love the view from the home of the water. So peaceful.we enjoyed watching movies and playing cards. She has a variety of board games to choose from. We will definitely visit again! Thank you!

The property is gorgeous!! It was well stocked and there was delicious home made banana bread waiting for us. The owners left great instructions, restaurant, and local store guides. Everything that we needed was easy to find. It is minutes from the Great Island Ferry. We will be back!

We had a lovely time and the house was great - right on the water, the dock was where we spent all of our time and our 11-year old caught a bunch of fish. The sunrises were beautiful, one day we saw dolphins and another we watched a heron fish for breakfast. The house has great options for outdoor space, including the beautiful screened in porch. The only problem we had was the home monitoring Nest system with monitors mounted on the ceilings in the living room, master bedroom, and other bedroom - they kept going off with an automated voice, whenever we would turn lights on or off at night, and if someone got up to go to the bathroom. This was quite disturbing, and even woke my daughter up in the middle of the night. It was a bit scary to hear a computer voice announcing movement. The owner tried to turn this off but was not successful, this definitely detracted from our enjoyment and I hope nobody else has this issue in the future.

Laurie is a lovely, gracious host. It comes across in her messages but even more so in all the little things she provides at the house: the homemade banana bread, the coffee and tea bar, the beach towels, the sunscreen, the nice shampoo, the kayaks and swim toys, etc. Honestly this home is just so well stocked and thoughtful. And the view! Beautiful. We had gorgeous weather and hung out on the dock fishing all afternoon. We’ve stayed here twice and will plan to stay again before our camping trips on Cape Lookout. Thank you, Laurie!

Mark's father is from Down East. Laurie fell in love with that area about the time she fell in love with Mark. For more than 2 decades they have been visiting the waters of Core Sound. Laurie and their dog Grace love to Kayak on the Sound every chance they get. Mark loves doing anything on the water.

If you are looking for a getaway that will make you appreciate everything nature has to offer - this is the place for you.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The screen porch is sure to be a highlight of your stay - at least that is what we hear. Sound Escape will allow you to throw a cast net off the dock, enjoy a good book on the screen porch, see more stars than you may have ever seen before and if you are lucky spot a dolphin or sea turtle swimming by.
When you walk in the door, you can look straight through the large great room and see Core Sound on the other side. If the weather is right, you might decide to turn off the A/C or heat and open the windows and feel the Sound breezes while you sleep or enjoy your breakfast.
Feel free to take a bike ride along the Scenic Byway (on one of the two bikes that are included), take a paddle on one of the two kayaks or hop on the Ferry to catch a ride to an amazing beach (that is practically private!)
Fish off the dock or in the surf if you would like (just bring your gear). If you have never been clamming, grab our clam rake and give it a try!
Walk down to Davis Shore Provision and grab some ice cream or dessert or stop in JDs one morning for a breakfast sandwich on a Davis Shore yeast roll. You have to try one!
