It sounds like you found a gem of a rental! I'm so glad it was perfect for your family and close to all the activities you wanted to enjoy. Thanks for your feedback. The Black Bear townhomes, along with all of the properties across from Purgatory Ski Resort will be subject to road noise from Highway 550 (which is not really a busy highway - especially at night since nothing in the area is open after 9am) but offer super convenient access to Purgatory Ski Resort. The gas fireplaces are turned off in the summer since they are a heat source and turning them on in summer will simply make the townhome unbearably hot. We have spoken to our maintenance team about routine cleaning off decks for all of the Black Bear townhomes we manage to ensure they are routinely cleaned. While they of course should have been clean upon arrival, we would have sent them over during your stay had you reached out.

We're sorry to hear you did not enjoy the townhome's location. Most guests love staying here due to its convenience to Purgatory Resort and easy access in the winter. However, I can understand if you were looking for a different experience. We're glad you called us to let us know so we could help pair you with a place you enjoyed. We have sent our maintenance team to inspect the bed to evaluate whether or not it is needed to be replaced, as well as sent our team members to remedy the situation with the fireplace so the future guests do not experience the same issues. Unfortunately some of our properties are located close to major highways such as highway 550, which is fully out of our control.

We do apologize for some of the housekeeping items being missed. We have brought this to the attention of the housekeeping team as that is not consistent with our normal standards and we know that nobody wants to arrive on vacation to a less than perfectly clean property. Given the topography, all properties within 1/2 mile of the Highway will experience some level of road noise from Highway 550. This home is ideally located within the resort community with easy year-round access to a prolific array of amenities, trails networks, the ski area and open space. No properties in the area have air conditioning as the elevation is 9000 and summer highs rarely reach 80 while lows are in the low 50s. We always recommend to our guests to manage the temperature in the summer by simply leaving windows open at night at closing them in the morning and using ceiling fans when needed. The professional photos on the listing reflect the actual size and furnishings in the unit, so we are unsure why the guest felt the unit appears smaller then the photos.

We sincerely apologize that we had to you move you to a unit down the street due to water damage in the townhome you had originally booked. We tried to pick the most comparable one to match what you originally booked. We hope you were still able to enjoy your stay here. I apologize for the communication error regarding the layout of the single queen bedroom bed; I understand how the setup could be inconvenient for two people. I’m also sorry to hear that the lack of AC and the provided fans were not sufficient to cool the upstairs area, and that traffic noise from Hwy 550 was an issue. We appreciate your feedback.
