This house was absolutely perfect for our group of 8 - two families with 4 adults and 4 teenagers. The outdoor living space was lovely for everyone to spread out and relax. The teens figured out adequate sleeping arrangements between the 3rd bedroom, living space with 'doors' that could be pulled closed and the sofa/sofa bed upstairs. The location is ideal and very nice to be slightly off Ali'i drive. The property manager, Heidi, was easy to communicate with. We were definitely stay here again!

Wonderful house, great neighborhood

The house was perfect in a great location, within walking distance to town or beaches. Favorite feature is the lookout tower where had our morning coffee. Would recommend!

Heidi the property manager was quick to respond when we had problems with the leaking roof and soaked bed. She did everything she could to make our stay a great experience even though one of the bedrooms/beds was unusable and our son & daughter-in-law had to move the mattress to the living room to sleep. Heidi also worked hard to get us a refund.

Paradise

Our family gathered together for a week in Paradise. It was filled with fun, and beautiful views from coffee in the morning to amazing sunsets at night. The grounds were beautiful and the home is close to tourist areas.

Awesome house, good location on the island

If your aim is to explore the Kailua-Kona side of the island then you can't go wrong staying in this rental. The house was super comfortable and nice, and the jacuzzi was clean and very hot. The viewing deck was a great place to enjoy meals or beverages and watch the sunsets and/or ocean. Great property and would recommend.

We did not enjoy this property. We felt pics were deceiving and home was obviously staged for them. The 2 main issues were insects on the inside of the home, a strong odor in the in- law suite that would not resolve, and the fact there is no access to the ocean due to the private properties. We left 4 days into a 7 day booking. We also did not like the area. There were lots of homeless people roaming around on the water front and parking lots of stores. If you have never been to the big island, stay north of the airport. It’s much much nicer. On the bright side , the management is very responsive and attentive. We booked this home the day before our trip due to an error booking a nicer property. So, it was basically not going to be rented the week we were there. It would have been nice if they had offered to refund the final 3 nights given the bugs in the home.

Wonderful

Kai Vista was the perfect house to make the most out of our time in Kailua. We came for my husbands Ironman race, but also enjoyed the amenities of the home. The kitchen was appointed well and we loved the ability to eat both indoors and out. The beds were really comfortable and it was great to have separate spaces while we had a lot of family together. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

As good as it gets

Location is great, place is clean, layout was perfect for our family. Me and my wife took the cabana, (separate quarters with A/C and bathroom) two couples upstairs and my daughter on the ground floor of the main house. Look out great for morning coffee. We used the beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, coolers and snorkels during the day. Oh and the beds were very, very comfortable. Great stay - thank you, we will be back!

Reviewer Comments: We had a marvelous time in your home. We loved the outdoor space. The kids loved the hammocks and hot tub we loved nightly walking down to the ocean and watching the sun set. The house was clean and well stocked. The outside lighting was abundant. Loved the separate suite. We did ask if there was a pack n play or stroller at the house and were told no, later to find both in the laundry room. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a central location for a larger group to stay.

House with a great view

Our stay at Kai Vista was great. The house was all we could have asked for. We spent lots of time in the tower - having meals, watching the ocean or enjoying the stars. The house was very clean and well equipped, we especially appreciated the wheeled cooler that we used for picnics on beaches. The proximity of the shoreline was great - the kids spent a few hours climbing over the lava rock beach and exploring the tidal pools. We are a three generation family and as grandparents we really appreciated the master suite housed in its own separate building. The location was good for easy access to main roads to explore the rest of the island.

The upstairs lanai is one of our favorite places to sit, eat and relax. The kids call it the "treehouse" part of the house. Great location just off of Ali'i Drive. Would definitely come back.

A Magical Experience

Our first visit to the Big Island included three generations. I had researched housing that would accommodate all seven of us and was totally surprised to discover such a marvelous place. Originally I was unsure if it would live up to its billing, but the minute we entered the grounds, we knew we were in a truly magical place. Not only was it a jaw-dropping location, but the beauty of the home and the attention to detail with the accommodations were top-notch. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. I only wish we could have stayed another week.
