We were not there very long as we were just staying over with are girls varsity cross country team but our stay was comfortable and excellent. The place was spacious and clean. There were 2 kitchens but with our small group we only needed one. It would have been fun to stay longer and play on the property. There was a kayak and a paddle board in the garage but we just didn’t have time to do much of anything. Great place to day and a great location!

We enjoyed our stay at Brophy Lake immensely. Our grown children and grandchildren joined us for a relaxing stay. From the fire pit, sitting areas in the front and back, fishing off the dock and tubing on the lake to the fun while using the provided paddle board and paddle boat. Plenty of room for everyone; having 2 kitchen areas was nice and a rarity. The hosts were responsive to questions prior to our stay and surprised us with a few extras at check in. We highly recommend this property. If you go don’t forget Casey’s Amusement Park and Carlos Creek Winery.

This was a great property for my family. My grandsons had a blast catching sunfish off the dock. The kayak and paddle board were nice additions to be able to use.

There was a plumbing issue on the first day of our stay. Susan went above and beyond to get it corrected the same day! We appreciated the quiet lake and private yard, and yet we were only minutes from town. It was an extremely hot and humid week, so we especially enjoyed the AC! The beds were comfortable and we loved the room darkening shades. It was a great experience.

Ohhh, the plumbing hiccup was not expected at all! So thankful for knowledgeable plumbers! I'd like to say thank you for washing the towels and actually cleaning the house before leaving! That was a nice surprise, and so appreciated!

We appreciate being less than 10 minutes from Alexandria, about 15 minutes from Carlos Creek Winery, and about 1.5 miles to access the bike path!

We really enjoyed our stay on Lake Brophy. The house was great: clean, room for all of us with great water view/access. The beds were very comfortable and the host provided many comforts of home. The back lower-level outdoor area provided seating for dinners with a BBQ grill. If back in the area we will rent again.
