Il gioiello Carolina ha 5 camere da letto nella storica casa colonica vittoriana del 1845 e altre 2 camere da letto nello spazioso Creekside Crystal Cottage nella proprietà di fronte al torrente sotto un baldacchino di alberi. Ogni suite nella casa storica, quotata al Registro Nazionale dei luoghi storici, ha il suo 'fascino unico. Tutte le camere sono dotate di bagni privati e caminetti dotati di legna da ardere.
La parte più antica della casa, la Sala Grande che fu costruita nel 1845, presenta tronchi rustici in rovere e il suo camino è fatto di rocce tirate fuori dai campi. Adiacente alla sala grande è la cucina e la lavanderia moderna sala ben fornito per l'uso. Nel 1880 un'aggiunta, di stile vittoriano, è stata aggiunta alla capanna di legno per accogliere il crescente famiglia. Un importante rinnovamento degli interni nel 1999, ha aggiunto bagni di lusso senza disturbare il fascino dell'era del passato.
Il gioiello Carolina è situato su 4 ettari con un flusso che attraversa la proprietà, un grande firepit, altalena, amache, ponti, portici, e una zona di grande livello per i bambini a correre e giocare o per impostare una grande tenda per un matrimonio o evento. Perfetto per la riunione familiare con spazio per eseguire e giocare!

Fabulous Family Celebration Weekend
Our family of 14 stayed at the Carolina Jewel and I cannot say enough grerat things about this property! We were in the area to celebrate our son's marriage from the year before and the property exceeded our expectations. Not only was it perfectly charming, especially if you love beautiful old historic properties, but it had so much room that even with our large number we never felt crowded. The bedrooms were spacious and with all of the ammenities right down to the little touches like shampoo/conditioner. And while it is steeped in history, it has also been updated and had all of the modern conveniences you could want like jacuzzi tubs in almost every bathroom and a very well stocked kitchen inlcuding Keurig coffee maker, We loved it so much as a family that we are talking about maybe coming together there in the future. Eva was a fabulous and very reponsive host. She came out to help us get settled and was very quick to answer any question we had. If you want a beautiful location for a large crowd - try the Carolina Jewel - you won't be sorry!!

This property was well laid out for our large gathering. The Creekside Cottage was a nice addition to accommodate everyone comfortably. The grounds were very nice.

Wonderful wedding weekend
My nephew was getting married at a nearby venue and my mom wanted all of us(13+) to stay together. I rented the carolina jewel, the cabin and the treehouse and it was perfect. It is always nerve wracking to book a spot for that many people but everyone loved it. My 2 married nephews and their young children stayed in the cabin. The bridge over the creek was a favorite of the 3 yos as was the swing. The firepit was utilized both on thursday night for just the family and Friday night for family and groomsmen. Each bedroom had a cool bathroom attached. My 84 yo mom stayed in the 1 downstairs room with a walkin shower. I liked the fact the tv was only in 1 room so people were more inclined to spend time together. I cannot say enough good thjngs about the carolina jewel. We would definitely stay there again

Michael & Eva Greene, Asheville natives who have had the luck to be able to live in Asheville all their lives (well it’s not over yet, but who’s counting!) Michael comes from a long line of jewelers and is passionate about gemstones, thus the inspiration for naming the suites in the Carolina Jewel. Eva spent 25 years in the travel business and then joined Michael in the family business. Together they have traveled much of the world and consider themselves blessed to live in Western North Carolina. Today they are transiting the business to the next generation which gives them the freedom to interact with and be concierge to guest coming to visit.

It is unusual to find such a historic property that has been so well restored and maintained. The history and beauty of Buncombe County makes it a great place to visit or a great place to call home. We often tell visitors that we live in Asheville due to an accident of birth. We were both born here and are fortunate that we are able to claim the title of Natives.

The location of The Carolina Jewel is perfect. Only 5 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. About 15 minutes from all the amazing restaurants, art galleries and nightlife of Asheville. Only a few miles from the charming small town of Weaverville which is growing with its own expanding collections of food and art.

Outdoor activist will love the proximity of the river with its canoeing, rafting and tubing as well as fishing. Motorcycles and bicycles co-exist peacefully in Asheville.

And if you tire of eating out in all the fine eating establishments there are plenty of tail gate markets, farmers markets, and food trucks for carry out or engage the services of our recommended private chef who will cook and clean up while you relax around the fire.
