This rental was amazing for a nice anniversary getaway! The view was incredible and made the whole experience that much better! Having the quad-fold door to allow in fresh air and just listen to the water was fantastic. The kitchen, living area, and bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Having a washer dryer onsite was awesome.The lake house is in a quaint, remote area but only 20-30 minutes from Burlington, Winooski, and Colchester.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! We were just steps away from the lake. My favorite part of the house was being able to open the doors and hearing the lake splashing and cool breeze. The house was very clean. Deb was so helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. She even lent us water shoes!Thank you Deb. We plan to come again next year!

The property was everything we had hoped for and more. Our dog had a blast playing in the water all day and we enjoyed exploring around the island. Deb was extremely responsive and we would absolutely stay here again!

We Loved Our Stay

We loved our stay at this charming home! The home was well-stocked with essentials and we had a very comfortable stay. The view of the lake cannot be beat, and we spent every night out on the patio with the fire pit. The hosts are easy to reach and helpful. We highly recommend this home.

Family Friendly Lake Front Property

The house and property was great. People and dog friendly. The only issue is the sulfur smell in water . I know they are working on this, The house is well stocked with everything needed and the owners are friendly and welcoming.

Truly a stand out property and excellent rental experience. Owners are responsive and have every need imaginable covered. And then some. Amazing lake views and access. They’ve gone above and beyond. Thank you for such a great experience!

Loved the house, the location, the lake, the sunsets. Lovely peaceful area. Hope to be back. Only downside was we did not see Champ looking out at the lake from the back patio. :)

We had a nice time. Kayaking is my favorite thing to do. The dog enjoyed running on the beach. The keeper market was amazing. Everything we needed. We took the ferry to Plattsburgh which was fun and Plattsburgh was interesting. The sunsets are amazing with a great view from the fantastic window. Thank you.

location & home are beautiful!! my husband and i, and our two pups spent a few days here & absolutely loved everything about it. the house itself was well equipped with everything we needed and was close to lots of fun things to do - ideal location in every way!! we loved watching the sunset over the lake every night and the open concept windows overlooking the lake were amazing additions ... no matter where you are in the house you can see the water! our pups loved playing in the water and on the beach. we will absolutely be back!!

Lovely house by the lake

Lovely house on the shores of Lake Champlain. Spacious, comfortable, elegant, with all the amenities we needed to enjoy our vacation. We were able to kayak and paddle board from the property’s own landing. There’s an outdoor shower for convenience. Stunning sunsets, quiet time by the fire pit at night, napping in the hammock. Burlington downtown and Ethan Allen’s homestead are good places to visit. Shelburne Museum is less than an our away, and definitely worth a visit. Montreal is about 1.5 hours away, easy, pleasant day trip. Thank you Deb and Andrew for hosting us!

We stayed at this lovely property on South Hero Island for the long weekend—it was a beautiful property with the perfect sunset view! Amazing wall to wall glass doors looking out onto the lake, quiet, private spot. The space was perfect for 2 couples looking to explore the area. Owner had great communication and shared so many tips of exploring the area like a local. We will definitely add this to our select list of repeat rentals!

Magical

We had a most lovely time at this cottage. Having never been to the Champlain Islands, the cottage provided a perfect location for enjoying and exploring the area. We saw amazing sunsets, had such fun swimming out front of the cottage, taking bike adventures to nearby farms and just relishing the week we spent there. We highly recommend staying here!

Western Views.

A very nice open floor plan with lots of windows facing the lake. The water is very clear here with a sandy bottom, something most frontage does not have.

Springtime in Vermont

We have so many wonderful things to say about Deb and Andrew's lake-front getaway. My parents were in town visiting Vermont for the first time and this location showcased everything springtime has to offer: farm stands, water sports, island historical sites, great local food. Lake breezes kept the rooms cool and we loved the outdoor space for spending time with friends and family. We also appreciated that the home is pet-friendly (& still extremely clean)! Plenty of supplies to last the week including filtered water. The hammock, fire pit, and outdoor shower were extra special touches. The bay is quite shallow for most boats, so renters should know that the mooring will be far from the beach. We decided not to bring our fishing boat up. Perfect for SUP and kayak. Would recommend to friends or stay again anytime!

Perfect Getaway

This place was such a perfect location for a vacation with the beautiful lake right outside your door and spectacular sunsets every evening. Our two labs just loved the water and relaxing on the patio or living room floor watching the lake activity as much as we did. The house was very comfortable with everything you need. There is so much to do in the area. The bike path crossing the lake from South Hero down to Burlington and back was a wonderful experience. All the local folks were very friendly and helpful. Deb and Andy were very responsive to our questions and delivered more bottled water when we needed it. Looking forward to returning next year and extending our stay to two weeks. Thanks Deb and Andy for sharing your beautiful place!

Extraordinary wheelchair-accessible lakefront getaway

I cannot say enough good things about this property, or the owners. Very clean and tidy on arrival. Stocked with all the basic necessities and more: all the kitchenware you could need, plenty of linens and towels, awesome gas grill...I could go on and on. Prime location, with tons of lakefront and an impressive view. I also use a large power wheelchair, and this house was SO much more accessible than I ever would’ve thought possible for a random rental. Beautiful ramp to the front door, wide open floor plan, one level. Interior doorways are a tad narrow, but I could still squeeze through. And the lakeside patio is 100% accessible by going around the house. Hosts/owners are terrific people. Extremely genuine, accommodating and easy to reach. Rent this property!
