The surrounding—a forest of tree ferns—is wonderful. The hosts, Jeffrey and Sally, were helpful and welcoming. The kitchenette is modest: fridge, microwave, coffee maker, tea kettle, but plenty for breakfast and lunch. Several good restaurants in Volcano Village just a short drive away for dinners. A cozy home away from home!

Couldn’t have had more informative and welcoming hosts. Loved all our time there. The host has a notebook with lots of information about the Volcano National Park and local restaurants among other things. We also got tips of which roads to avoid due to recent storms. Highly recommended.

This quiet cozy getaway in the mountains is just absolutely gorgeous! Its perfectly located in a quiet small town right next to the national park! You'll get a one of a kind experience for a run down of the Volcanoe! Hosts are absolutely the best and just the sweetest! If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is the spot!

Our stay at the Serenity Suite in the Magical Rainforest was absolutely amazing. Sally & Jeffrey were wonderful hosts - the accommodations were everything we could ever want! The first morning breakfast was delicious. This was our 20th trip to Hawaii; we love staying in Volcano Village because it's so close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. This trip will be especially memorable as we saw eruption #47 on my partner's 73rd birthday. It was a dream come true for us. We will return to Hawaii and hope to stay in the Serenity Suite again. We highly recommend the Serenity Suite in the Magical Rainforest. You will not be disappointed. Aloha & Mahalo, Carolyn & Barry

Wonderful house that felt like we were in our own home. Comfortable chairs and plenty of lights. Beautiful native forest filled with birds. The hosts are amazingly friendly and helpful people. If we could give it more than 5 stars we would.

Great location to visit the National Park. We also did a day trip to Green Sand beach and South Point. Our stay was 3 nights.Host are wonderful in sharing park information. Accommodations are spacious and spotless. I spend hours researching places to stay before booking. Trust me and book this one, you will not be disappointed.

I can't say enough about this place and Jeffery and Sally! It was like staying in our own piece of rainforest. Jeffery knew so much about the area and gave us great info upon arriving. The full bookshelves kept us busy reading when we werent out exploring. The place was cozy and emaculately clean. We wish we could've stayed another week! 10/10 would stay again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Volcano. Jeffrey and Sally offer so much hospitality and really make you feel like home. Their property is so lush and beautiful and the unit is very comfortable. We loved having breakfast and coffee on the patio listening to birds. We would love to be back someday and I will definitely be recommending this rental for anyone I know traveling to Volcano.

Comfortable and peaceful

We loved this VRBO. It was very peaceful, clean and comfortable for 2 adults. I would recommend and would stay here again. Thanks to Jeffrey and Sally for a wonderful stay!

Great Stay

Quiet, cozy, and very close to park entrance. Day 1 breakfast, and coffee were a nice touch. Host was a great resource for info on the park, hikes, and local eateries.

Fantastic Place to Experience The South-Eastern Part of the Island.

Great hosts. Excellent place to stay. If you are going to see Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and the surrounding areas, this is the place to be. A true get-away with lots of character in the rainforest!

Gracious hosts. Comfortable accommodations with everything we needed right there. Location in a fern forest is simply lovely. Enjoyed seeing quite a number of different flowers and birds.Our hosts were so charming. They had excellent advice on the local area and the volcano national park.

Beautiful Secluded Suite

Amazing location and a well-cared-for suite. Very clean and very organized, with many thoughtful extras (hammocks, blankets, grill, "cosy coats", books, etc.). We would stay here again!

Great Stay & Will Be Back For Sure!

What an absolutely great property! It was so isolated, and I slept like a baby with the peacefulness. Jeffrey was a great and enthusiastic host, who loved sharing his passion for the national park...which is only 5 minutes away. Will definitely be staying here again!

Welcoming hosts. Provided a continental breakfast on first day. Spacious, clean, and cozy. Had some nice outdoor spaces. It is in a rainforest so feels private and unique. Jeffrey told about some good hikes and local restaurants. Very close to the park.
