Perché ottenere una camera d'albergo quando puoi goderti uno dei quartieri più affascinanti di Asheville? A soli cinque minuti a piedi dal centro, questo cottage del 1914 splendidamente rinnovato è situato accanto a un boschetto di alberi ed è comodamente vicino a un bar locale per quella tazza del mattino. L'accogliente bungalow nel quartiere più affascinante e storico di Asheville è l'ideale per una fuga romantica, un ritiro di scrittura o una vacanza in famiglia.

Il cottage, situato in una strada tranquilla con un vialetto privato che può ospitare due auto, è decorato con tappeti orientali dei viaggi del proprietario in Medio Oriente, Africa e Asia centrale, nonché opere d'arte originali. È stato completamente rinnovato.

Corner Cottage vanta una cucina a pianta aperta con ripiani in granito e tutto il necessario per preparare un pasto gourmet dai famosi mercati degli agricoltori di Asheville; una biblioteca con scrivania, sedia ergonomica e sedia da lettura; una camera da letto con un comodo letto matrimoniale e una cabina armadio; e un bagno con bidet e doccia aperta (e un pavimento deliziosamente riscaldato). Il soggiorno è luminoso e soleggiato e c'è un camino a pulsante per le fredde notti di montagna. Insieme al WiFi, c'è una Smart TV che ti consente di accedere a Netflix o Amazon, nonché ai canali locali (non è necessario il cavo in questa città dove c'è così tanto da fare).

Il cortile completamente recintato con una fontana, un ponte, un tavolo e sedie e una griglia a gas offre un ambiente esterno privato e spazioso per te e i tuoi animali domestici, e il rocker sulla veranda soleggiata è il luogo perfetto per recuperare il ritardo con la lettura . O vai a piedi per fare un tour della città dal Centro visitatori di Asheville a un isolato in fondo alla strada, oppure scegli tra dozzine di ristoranti, bar, teatri e gallerie senza preoccuparti del parcheggio. Sei a pochi passi di distanza!

Puoi anche avventurarti a Biltmore House, al Grove Park Inn o al Blue Ridge Parkway, tutti situati a 10 minuti di auto. Zipline, sentieri escursionistici, canoa e rafting in acque bianche sono facilmente raggiungibili. Ma potresti trovare difficile lasciare Corner Cottage!

Perfect base for exploring Asheville

So happy with our accommodations - this adorable, welcoming cottage made for the perfect comfy base camp from which to explore Asheville. Beautifully decorated with lovely art throughout and a private, fenced garden patio retreat - so much nicer than staying in a hotel. You’ll feel like a local staying here. It’s in a lovely historic neighborhood - an easy walk to all that downtown Asheville has to offer and easy access to drive to explore everywhere else. Loved and regularly made use of the All Day Darling Diner next door and highly recommend the excellent restaurant around the block - Tall John’s. As good as any of the excellent restaurants we visited in the more “touristy” areas. They’ll be getting awards once the word gets out! Pop into the conveniently located Visitor Center about a half block away and get suggestions on things to do or peruse the binder of suggestions that the thoughtful host has compiled. At the end of the night, you’ll be happy to rest your head on the fluffy pillows in your home away from home for a good night’s sleep. The host very kindly checked in on us to make sure we had what we needed and let us know he was there if we had questions. No need, the little cottage was perfect for our stay.

Fabulous getaway

This is a terrific find. The house is comfortable for two people and offers everything for a fantastic stay. The kitchen and dining room had modern appliances, the den benefited from a unique atmosphere and the fenced backyard was the perfect escape. And best of all, the location is perfect. Walking to the city adds to the value of this location. We truly enjoyed our visit.

Would be 5 stars with deep cleaning

The good: Location is great, in a historic neighborhood and walkable to diner next door, grocery stores, and downtown Asheville. The cottage is adorable with a bedroom, office, living room, updated bathroom, well-stocked eat-in and updated kitchen, and a small fenced backyard. The bad: This place would be 5 stars if it were properly cleaned. There was pet fur everywhere (in the bedding, on the floor, on the couch, on the countertops, in the bathroom). I reached out to the owner and they offered to come and vacuum, but what it really needs is an overall deep cleaning. The refrigerator interior, kitchen window frame, and toaster were covered with food residue. The dishes, pots, pans, cups, and silverware were put away in the cabinets dirty, and needed to be cleaned before using. There was human and dog hair all over the bathroom (floor and shower walls). I do hope they take the time to do a proper cleaning because it is the only issue with this house.

Easy

This home is in such a great location to walk to downtown Asheville. Easy drive to all breweries and hiking trails. Great antique shopping and so close to grocery stores. Restaurant next store was our go to coffee and breakfast or lunch stop.

Andrew's cottage was perfect - easy access to downtown Asheville (an easy 3 block walk), lovely walking in Montford, and of course, The All Day Darling Restaurant is just next door. More than adequate for our 2 week visit!

Pleasant Stay At The Corner Cottage

My husband and mini dachshund spent four nights at The Corner Cottage in late April, 2022. Upon driving up to the cottage it was lovely to see the dogwood and phlox blooming in the front yard and along the stone wall. The cottage was well appointed and as pictured. The fenced in back yard could use a bit of sprucing up. We were greeted by a large dead potted plant on the deck and the table and chairs could use a refurbishing, as well as the wicker rocker on the front porch which was peeling paint. Would not take much TLC and attention to make those areas more inviting. The Montford neighborhood was pleasant to walk in with many pollinator gardens to admire.

Perfect location to downtown and quiet neighborhood

Nicely decorated house with private backyard perfect for small dog. Easy walk to breweries and restaurants downtown. Also perfectly located to walk to Salvage Station for a concert. Great host with easy communication.

Lovely cottage in historic neighborhood

This charming cottage was perfect for my husband and me and our small dog, from the artistic interior to the beautiful front garden and enclosed back yard. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was supplied, and we couldn't recommend it more highly. The location in the historic Montford neighborhood was an additional bonus.

The owner left fabulous recommendations for restaurants, walks, and sights. The cottage is near everything , within a five to ten minute drive. Had a very nice stay!

Cozy Corner Cottage Retreat

Wonderful weekend spent at the Corner Cottage! The house was just perfect, nestled in the historic Montford neighborhood, with an easy 10 minute walk to downtown Asheville. We loved the little coffee shop and diner next door!

Fantastic stay at the corner cottage

My husband and I spent last week at the cottage and loved our stay. The location is fantastic right next to a great coffee shop and in a beautiful neighborhood setting with an easy walk to the restaurants and breweries. The house was perfect for us to work with great wifi and a nice office area. Our dog enjoyed the backyard. We'd love to return if time allows!

Perfect for a relaxing getaway and Asheville walkability

We loved our stay at this property. Cozy, quiet, and relaxing in a walkable neighborhood just a short drive (or walk like we did) to downtown Asheville. The host and property manager checked in with us a few times to make sure all was well--and it was. These are great hosts with an attention to the kinds of details (ex. tea in the kitchen) that make for an enjoyable stay. If we could make two small suggestions: we found the property to be very clean overall, but it could use a "deep/spring cleaning" to take it to the next level in a couple areas. And a second lock, like a deadbolt, on the front door would give an added feeling of security. We'll definitely look to book this property again on future trips to Asheville. Thank you!

Convenient historic charmer

The corner cottage was perfect for our weeklong stay in Asheville. Beautiful front and rear yards for quiet evening relaxing. The house is very well appointed and the owner was a joy to interact with. And Asheville in springtime is beautiful. Overall just a wonderful, relaxing escape!

Winter retreat

My husband and I enjoyed a winter getaway to Asheville recently. This property is charmingly decorated and very cozy & comfortable. I loved all the pretty rugs! The location was very good, too, close to downtown. We enjoyed a lovely walk to a nearby restaurant one evening. We appreciated the delicious bottle of wine that Andrew left out for us - that was a nice surprise! I would definitely recommend a stay here for 1 or 2 people. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the kitchen. The microwave was up too high and I couldn't use it. I had trouble with the coffee maker and ended up using the French press. It would help to have more dish towels. (If it weren't for the current pandemic conditions, we would have eaten out more, so maybe I'm being a bit too picky since I cooked nearly all of our meals there.) Overall, it's a great place, and I would stay there again.

Fantastic Location, Relaxing Property

Basically this place has it all and is perfect for 2 people. Relaxing living room, ample bedroom space with walkin closet, private backyard that is fully enclosed and privacy fenced, updated kitchen and bathroom. It is just blocks from downtown Asheville and directly adjacent to a coffee shop/brunch spot that makes is super convenient if you don't want to cook. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you'd need for a week long stay. We will be back.

Perché ha scelto questa struttura

This house reputedly was an informal jazz club decades ago, but it was a vacation rental when I first came to Asheville well over a decade ago. I fell in love with the cottage and the community, and bought the house from the previous owner who lived nearby. Then I set about moving walls, expanding the kitchen and bathroom, and making this place as comfortable and energy efficient a home as possible. The result also shows off some of the beautiful art and objects that I'm lucky to have from my travels. I'm delighted with this place, and I hope that you will be too.

Cosa rende unica questa struttura

The cottage is a perfect size for a couple or a private solo retreat. I love its privacy; the little forest on one side and the shady deck and yard on the other side make me feel like I live in the country when I'm actually in the heart of town.
