Perfect Getaway!

This was a perfect spot for our girls getaway! The house is spacious, yet cozy, and had everything we needed. The kitchen has a great setup for enjoying meals together. We enjoyed relaxing on the porches and lounging in the pool. Blue Hole is a refreshing spot and downtown Wimberley has lots of charm! We would definitely return!

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay overall. We do want to clarify that while our listing includes photos of the nearby river and access points, we do not advertise the home as being riverfront or directly on the river. We always strive to represent the property as accurately as possible so guests know what to expect. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us and hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.

The stay at this property was very nice. The property was as listed. Overall the inside of the property could use a "deep" cleaning. It was clean to the casual eye but if you dug deeper like in the couches it needs some attention. Everything worked and the kitchen had just about every gadget you could think of. Outside it was very peaceful with deer in the yard from time to time. Pool was very clean and nice to use. I would use this property again if our travels take us to Wimberly.

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting, clean pool, well-stocked kitchen, and visits from the local deer. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the deeper cleaning. We'll be sure to share your comments with our housekeeping team so they can give those areas extra attention. Thank you again for staying with us, and we'd love to welcome you back the next time you're in Wimberley!

It was a wonderful place for a girlfriend get away! Plenty of places to sit and visit, play cards, and swim! We couldn’t get hot tub quite hot enough but it was still enjoyable! Would definitely come back

We’re so glad you and your group had a wonderful getaway and enjoyed all the spaces to relax, visit, and spend time together! We’re happy to hear the hot tub was still enjoyable. With the cooler temperatures combined with heavy rain earlier in the week, it can sometimes take a bit longer to fully heat. We have since inspected the hot tub, and everything is performing as it should.

Five of us gathered for our annual reading retreat, and this property was the perfect backdrop for relaxation and girl time. The host was incredibly responsive to all of my planning questions, and the house was warm and accommodating. We cooked, read, napped, laughed, and explored. We thoroughly enjoyed the wraparound porch, the hot tub, the cozy sitting area downstairs, and the close access to Wimberley's cutest restaurants and shops. Would absolutely stay here again!

The kids loved the place, they didn’t want to leave, huge space with swings, hammock, treehouse, and best of all peace and the hot tub pool. The outside patio areas were so nice. We will definitely be back. The staff was super timely. We have been staying in different homes around the area of Wimberely since 2020 and this is at the top for our family of 5.

All very good. Only issue was hot tub didn't heat up. Followed all the directions, including making sure all other heat draws were not being used. Tried all three nights. A standard hot tub controller with temp reading, display of on/off, etc could help.

Wonderful stay

We stayed at Shepards Lodge for a family wedding at Montesino Ranch. It was the perfect location and close enough to go back and forth over the weekend. The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed the pool, hut tub and spacious decks over the course of our stay. We had plenty of room for our family. Highly recommend this house and was taken care of by the Vacay staff.
