The location is lovely and the home is very spacious with lots of amenities. However, the home is very dated and needs some basic upgrades to make it more guest-friendly. The pocket doors in the bedrooms were nearly unusable; they're impossible to grip, they leave a gap in between them when closed and the lock was broken so there's no privacy. Even drilling a few pull handles would make them more usable, but the better idea would be to outfit the bedrooms with proper doors. The kitchen is very dated, the rainfall-style showerhead in the upstairs bathroom may look nice but is practically useless considering the water pressure, which makes for a very chilly shower considering the cavernous and drafty shower stall. The same bedroom also didn't appear to have any vents in it and would get very cold compared to the rest of the house; please consider at least some thicker bedding for your guests, because the paper-thin quilt did nothing to help. We weren't able to use the fireplace at all because some sort of key was required to turn it on inside the fireplace itself and that wasn't provided to us. Cheap pictures hang on the walls and easily fall down, there are stains on the carpeted areas (why would you have carpeting in a pet-friendly property?), and the house could use a good pressure wash on the exterior. We enjoyed our stay thanks to the activities we did, but the home itself was a bit of a let down considering the price.
