Disponibile tutto l'anno, questa casa vittoriana del 1900 è stata rinnovata di recente. L'atmosfera accogliente è accompagnata dal camino in ghisa. Abbonda di carattere e fascino di inizio secolo - ogni sorta di dettaglio architettonico che manca alle case moderne.
Ci sono viste spettacolari sull'acqua, oltre a viste su Moosebec Reach e Beal's Island attraverso il prato da 120 'con un pozzo del fuoco. Il bluff confina con una spiaggia privata larga 100 sotto. C'è un posto barca disponibile.
Guarda le barche delle aragoste che vanno e vengono o cammina verso i moli locali per l'aragosta fresca e altri frutti di mare in qualsiasi momento dell'anno.
La casa si trova vicino a Jonesport Pizza Shoppe, Bayview Seafood Shack (Seasonal) e Hamilton Marine - un negozio di articoli da regalo e ferramenta. La casa è anche a pochi isolati dal negozio di alimentari locale e dal varo pubblico a Sawyer Cove, che è calmo e pittoresco. La pittoresca biblioteca cittadina è direttamente dall'altra parte della strada.
Inoltre, la riserva naturale dell'isola di Wass è a soli dieci minuti di auto. La riserva offre un'escursione di 1,5 miglia, che porta a un'estesa costa rocciosa dell'oceano. Non vedrai altro che fauna e oceano per chilometri.
Hai anche la possibilità di programmare un giro in barca su una barca per aragoste lungo il fiume Pleasant o goderti una passeggiata di 1,5 miglia lungo Sandy River Beach, una delle spiagge più immacolate che tu abbia mai visto.
Per non parlare del fatto che la casa è solo 1. 25 ore da Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Lubec, Eastport e Canada.

Enjoyed our stay

Nice spot on the bay. Jonesport is a quiet town with beautiful coastline hiking nearby. Not lots of restaurant choices in the area, but we had a very good visit.

Extraordinary views of beautiful and historic Moosebec Reach on coastal Downeast Maine as seen from a fully furnished Victorian setting. Convenient to everything the town has to offer from an abundance of lobster pounds, fresh harvested mussels to a general store and public library all within walking distance. A pleasant and affordable setting with an attentive host.

We loved our stay at Neptune! The house was cozy and had everything we needed. The Jonesport area is great if you enjoy beachcombing and hiking.

Beautiful view

Perfect location for our photopgraphy excursions. The house was quaint and clean. It was easy to find and the location had a beautiful view out the back. The Pizza shop a short walk down the road was perfect and delicious too! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Vacation in downeast

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Jonesport. The view from the house is lovely and the peace and quiet was just what we were looking for. We enjoyed cooking many meals but also enjoyed trips to Machias for a meal at Helen’s and to Chipman’s Wharf in Milbridge. Wonderful area with friendly locals. Highly recommend it!

Just what we needed.

Property is as advertised. Older home with great view of bay and fishing boats. Very relaxing. Jonesport has a central location and very friendly people. Not much to do in town but day trips get you to a lot of fun places.

Tranquil and beautiful location on the Coast of Maine

This property was absolutely wonderful! The house was pristine and had all of the amenities we were seeking, including a tub for our youngest chimd. We loved the beautiful yard and enjoyed bonfires overlooking the ocean. It was Close to the market and to the pier where we bought freshly caught Lobster. Great atmosphere

Wonderful view, enjoyed the lobster boats coming in and out on their daily work. I plan on coming again. This was a vacation that took a very long time for me to take. Being a business owner I needed the solitude. Thank you Jonesport for being that respite.

As expected

We enjoyed our stay, and Scott was receptive and quick to respond to our queries. The home me is clean and the location is Beautiful. The area is peaceful and very quiet. Seeing the Milky Way and planets was a treat I haven’t had since I was as a child and light pollution wiped them from the sky. . One couldn’t ask for more

We were unable to stay on the premises. It was not as described and we left after walking through the home.

Traveler was fully refunded. Apparently there was an issue with the furnace that let exhaust into the home. The problem has been repaired.

Nice home with view of water. Comfortable beds. Home was clean. Host charges a cleaning fee which for three nights was a bit steep. There was also a gratuity envelope for the cleaner which was off-putting. There are no smoke alarms in the home and there is a wood stove that doesn’t look like it’s been inspected recently. I’ve heated with wood for over 50 years and I did not feel safe using the stove after the first night.The gas grill on the deck is nice but it’s placed right against the exterior wall. We moved it when in use but again, another fire hazard in my opinion.If you’re looking for a house on the water, bring your own smoke alarm and don’t use the wood stove then this property is fine.

There is and always has been a 10-year smoke and CO detector located at the top of the stairway in the hall between all three bedrooms. FYI it has occasionally falsely alarmed when using the shower without the exhaust fan running. If that happens just wave a towel over it and it will shut off. The grill on the deck gets stored in the corner near the house. It is on wheels and you can move it easily. Please do so. We do check it and clean grease as necessary to prevent any grease fires. We are very conscientious about cleaning. Sanitizing entire kitchen including microwave stove oven refrigerator countertops and tables. Same thing in the bathroom. Kitchen floor washed as well as any other floors that may need it. Vacuuming entire house. Dusting. Cleaning windows and doors. Trash removal. Minimum of two if not three loads of laundry. Remake all beds with fresh linens. Lisa is very conscientious, perhaps underpaid. Some are easier than others but the entire fee goes to her every time. I have expressed to her that the envelope for cleaning tips was a bit tacky. The envelopes will not be present in any of our properties going forward but if you make a big mess or appreciate our cleanliness feel free to leave some cash on the table. She is generally there shortly after checkout time. The wood stove should not be used without contacting myself for instructions for proper use. It is cleaned annually and I use the stove regularly in the winter. Best, Scott

Jonesport 2023

Scott's house was the perfect central location for my mother's & I visit. Lots of day trips! Bring your passport to go to Canada. The lawn overlooking the harbor was a great place to watch boats, read & relax. We did a lot of beach walking. The beach is covered with shells of all kinds & glass so you definitely want shoes on. Just down the road is Sandy River Beach, again good for walking & that is where I went to read with toes in the sand. We got clams from Hattie at Moody Seafood & mussels from Bobbie Jo at Moosabec Mussels. Bobbi Jo recommended Look Lobsters for lobsters but we had a family friend in the area that we got those from. We got blueberries from Wescogus Wild Blueberries. Plenty of spots to get fresh eggs from. Mannafords Market in town was a good place to get some simple staples. Of course we had to get some red-hot dogs! The Shop & Save in Columbia was the better store for veggies and produce. The house was comfortable & clean. The kitchen was well stocked with pots & pans & doodads. There were coffee filters, we did bring our own & ground coffee. Plenty of towels & face clothes. There was detergent & dryer sheets for the washer/dryer. I stayed in the room that Gene Autry stayed in. My mom was so excited about that. He wrote "Here Comes Santa Claus" & "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer". Beautiful morning light through the windows. Breakfast was always in the viewing room. There is a TV but who needs one you are staying at the beach!

We had a family get together here for 4 nights and had a wonderful time. It is a very peaceful spot. We were able to relax, cook out and have day trips from a great location. Scott had everything you would need.

October in Jonesport

One can't plan for bad weather, but this home was a welcome refuge from the storm. Watching the fog lift over Moosabec Reach was spectacular.

Old fishing port with great view of lake

Jonesport is an older fishing port. The house is a renovated 1900 home, so floors squeak, only bathroom is located upstairs, but does have a great view of the port. Came in October so Port not busy and limited options for food and hikes.

Wonderful place to explore Downeast

Great place! Our host was very responsive and the house was very clean and had everything we needed. The views are amazing! Just sitting inside or outside and looking at the water is lovely, and it's a great location for exploring all the beauty of Downeast.

Place to relax by the sea and fire

We loved the house on the bluff over looking the coming and goings of the lobster boats. We enjoyed both the inside fireplace and outside fire pit. Great place to recharge.

Amazing!

My husband and I stayed for a week and it was and it was difficult to leave, we both enjoyed just sitting by the fire pit watching the lobster boats go by and watched as they unload their catch just down the beach. We walked along the beach and found a few treasures to bring home, also just a short drive away you can buy lobster right off the boat you will never find any thing fresher than that!!!! It was very quiet and peaceful, I can't wait to have the chance to go back!

Location Location Location

I came to Washington County to paint in a beautiful location and to walk beaches in the cooler air of Eastern Maine. I loved the old house, the quiet neighborhood, the fresh breezes here. Sandy River Beach was an easy 3 mile drive when I wanted a quick break, a clean sand beach that was great for walking. Townspeople are friendly and helpful. Although I didn’t explore the area because I pretty much had what I wanted at “home” there’s lots to check out for the more intrepid. I will return.
