Glad you liked our Christmas decorations too! Admittedly, we did that for ourselves, but are glad that our tenants can enjoy them too. We were pleased to get an "honorable mention" from the judges in our first year in the island's annual home decorating contest. However, my wife and I have resolved to do better next year, although we recognize that we face very stiff competition. The Holidays are such an incredible time of the year on BI! Cindy and I are glad you enjoyed your stay at Casa la Pina on “Little” Balboa Island and appreciate your favorable review. You might be amused to know that we picked up the pineapple theme when we lived in New England many years ago. We thought its application to a Cape Cod home near the ocean was an appropriate use of the historic emblem of welcome and hospitality. We’ve enjoyed finding new, and frequently small ways, to use pineapple decor items throughout our home. We’re glad you got a kick out of it....
