Great family spot!

I would highly recommend this property to any large family. Spacious, clean house, beautiful views and so much fun to be had! Andre was incredibly responsive throughout our stay.

Vacation Week

We had a great week. The house was equipped with anything you could possible need. Lots of activities and space. The outside patios and dock was well furnished.

Absolutely Perfect Property!

This property has everything you could ask for and so much more! Plenty of room, very clean and very well stocked as well as amazing views! I could go on and on! Our family had an absolutely wonderful time and we are already looking forward to our next visit. Big ‘thank you’ to our host Andre’!

Outstanding property, amazing views, great entertainment!

This is an outstanding property. It was super clean, comfortable, and a wonderful atmosphere. The property, lake and available amenities (paddle boards, trampoline, etc) kept us occupied the entire week. Can't recommend this home highly enough - we had a great experience! Owner was very responsive and easy to work with.

Great family vacation spot

we were impressed with the amenities that were supplied. The dock and trampoline was a big hit with everyone. The house supplied everything we could possibly need. Communication with the owners was wonderful, had a few questions during our stay, that were answered right away. overall a wonderful experience. Definitely, should be on your list to go too!!!

Very Nice!

We booked The Hideaway for a weekend women's retreat and the house was perfect for our gathering. The property has a cozy feel and lots of privacy. There was enough space for all of us to spread out when needed and a large living room for us to come together for group gatherings. The bedrooms were more spacious, too, and we loved that there were no bunks! Everything we needed to prepare meals was available and there was plenty of table space inside and out for us to sit during meals. We loved the dock and the ladies enjoyed taking turns with the kayak. I especially loved the hammock as the weather on Saturday was gorgeous! Andre was very communicative and very understanding about some of our requests leading up to our stay. I couldn't have asked for better. All in all, a great weekend.

Wonderful lake vacation

Our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed our week at the lake. Home was spacious and we especially enjoyed the pontoon rental, jumping off the deck and the water trampoline.

Great Family Reunion Property

Amazing location on the main lake with wonderful views. House was big enough for our family reunion and was clean. We also rented the pontoon boat which was essential for our group and we got a lot of use out of that and the tube and knee board.

Nice vacation place to relax and catch up with family

Overall, great place to relax and catch up with family. Plenty of room. Kitchen well-stocked. Lots of chairs outside. Rented the pontoon and had lots of fun with that and the kayaks and paddle boards. Owner was very responsive when contacted. Internet was weak which didn't bother adults, just the younger group. we would recommend this place!

Great property for large family gathering

Property was clean and well stocked for large group. Lakeside facilities, including pontoon boat were excellent. Would rent property again. Only shortcoming was extremely slow and unreliable internet.

Wonderful family vacation!

My extended family spent a long weekend enjoying ourselves at this beautiful home. There was tons of space so no one felt cramped. Ample fridge space among the 3 full side fridges. The outside space is amazing!! We enjoyed the lake every single day, the water was very chilly but didn't stop our 3 kiddos from swimming to and from the water trampoline. Lots of paddleboard available for those who wanted to stay out of the water. And the kitchen was stocked with every single item you could need, tons of plates, pots and pans, a crockpot, pancake griddle. Look no further, you have found a gem on Lake Gaston!

Family Getaway

House was setup great, kitchen appliances I would say plenty and worked well. Gas fireplace was a hit on cooler nights. Fire pit was nice for evening relaxation outside. Patio’s and decks allowed everyone to have a space. We rented the boat and everyone enjoyed cruising around lake shore looking at the beautiful homes. Enjoyed our time away thank you for renting your home.

beautiful views

We had an absolutely wonderful time and the house was perfect for our group. The views were breath taking, especially at sunset, and we loved all of the outdoor space. The only thing I wish we would have known was to bring trash bags, dishwasher detergent, and paper towels, as that was not provided and led us to have to drive the 25 minutes to the closest food lion. But it was a wonderful stay and we would highly recommend it!

Lovely Vacation Rental!

This was my first experience renting an Airbnb and I must say it was very pleasant! The owners, Andre & Nancy, were super nice and responded promptly to questions. The ride in was a little tricky, but not enough to get lost (you know how gps can be sometimes). The interior was furnished very nicely and the atmosphere felt like home. Plenty of dining space, wide open family room w/fireplace, beautiful master bedroom/bath - just too many nice things to mention. You've got to try it for yourself. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this home as a place to vacation. I'd love to go there during the summer to get in some fishing or just sitting out on the deck! Thumbs up for Andre & Nancy!

Cozy place with great views

Really enjoyed our 2 day stay over the New Year. We had 4 families with a total of nine kids stay and the place was perfect. Having enough bedrooms for everyone, a game room, fire pit and two separate tv rooms was exactly what we needed. The place was clean and well organized and made our stay enjoyable. Looking forward to visiting Lake Gaston again when it’s warmer.

Amazing in every way!

What a perfect place to get away from everything! The house was clean, the kitchen was extremely well equipped, the outdoor space was incredible and there was plenty of room for our entire group. The owners were very helpful and had excellent communication from start to finish. Couldn't have been any better!

The merriest of Christmases!

The property is absolutely beautiful and housed my family and the in-laws comfortably. It was an awesome Christmas by the lake. We even had matching sweatshirts that said “Flakes by the Lake”! There was no problem at all with the house. Would absolutely recommend this property!

Great location with everything thing you need for a great vacation.

From the well stocked kitchen to the great available boat rental we had everything we needed at the house. We really enjoyed sitting arothe fire pit and watching the sun go down.

Beautiful property overlooking the lake with gorgeous sunsets

This house is so well stocked. There is plenty of anything you might need for a group gathering. Everything is so comfortable - the bedding, the seating, the outdoor areas. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for and feed a large group. We had 15 adults and it was perfect for cooking, dining, sleeping and gathering. We've stayed in this house three times and hope to have more weekend visits in the future!
