We arrived 7/22. The next morning, there was an odd smell in our ground floor studio. Our entrance was through the garage. I opened the door to the garage & there was a strong skunk-like smell. I went outside. The owner’s husband was at the top unit & asked me to smell it. It smelled unbearable, like a dead animal. The husband then said it’s probably the propane tank he had delivered the day we checked in. We went to the tank, which was attached to a grill inside the garage. He noted the grill knobs were all open, turned to the high position, and said the tank valve was also open. He lifted the tank & said it was empty. Horrified, I told him we’re going to need to discuss a refund. He said talk to his wife. I went to our unit, opened the windows and texted his wife that I didn’t feel safe renting from them further. She replied she totally understood. Her husband said to find a hotel, text it to his wife & they would take care of it. I texted her 2 options & she said she would instead provide a full refund & that she was on the phone with VRBO about the incident. I received a refund for less than half of the total booking. While the owner said she would provide a full refund, VRBO stated she only approved a partial refund and is also keeping the cleaning fee. The owner texted information about how to dissipate propane gas & then stopped replying to texts. VRBO escalated the issue to their Health and Safety Department. Trip insurance won’t cover due to homeowner negligence.

Exactly what we needed for me and my son during a baseball tournament near by. Beth was very easy to communicate with and everything we needed for our stay was there.

Great Value / Nice Location

The Host was wonderful and property met our needs at a good value. We were very pleased with our stay. We in town for a baseball tournament at LakePoint Park. This home was very close to LakePoint. We would visit again.

Lovely stay!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this home.. Beautiful location! Just what we were looking for R&R. The home was spotless and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The owners are very accommodating and want you to be happy and enjoy your stay. Lovely people !

Home base while we relocate

This studio was similar to the one I lived in when I was in Europe! It's the perfect place to show your children how less IS more, and simple can be expressive. The bed: It was like being snuggled by a fluffy bunny. I cried a little when I had to retun to my own. Beth and Ed respond quickly, if you need them, and the neighborhood is peaceful. Highly recommend!

We were in GA for a baseball tournament and wanted a place close to fields and also near the lakes. This was perfect. It was a cute studio apartment with everything needed to enjoy our week.

Snowbirding

I spent the winter here with my Shih Tsu because my family lives in Dallas. The neighborhood is great, I met several neighbors and all were very nice. Logan Farm Park is only a mile away and is a super place to walk. The space is well equipped with most everything you need. Beth and Edward are always a text away and so helpful. A great all around experience!

Clean, efficient space for a baseball tournament

I nearly copied one of the reviews. I thought a lot about whether to leave a review or not considering the helpfulness of the owner. The unit is well-stocked, Beth is very responsive and helpful, and the location is perfect if you are playing at Lakepoint. Close to state parks, etc. The owner helps when she can and the inside of the unit is as described. The unit is the basement of the house that is pictured. The pictures do not reflect the actual unit itself. You have to enter through a basement garage, AC is controlled by upstairs, the outdoor spaces reflect the main rented unit (not this one), and it is very noisy if there are people upstairs. We rented during summer, downstairs got incredibly cold, Beth helped but we did not want to have to call all the time. When the renters left and the temperature set to an empty house, we got incredibly stuffy in the basement. It was difficult to balance. There were young children upstairs and we could hear every tiny step. And the AC, even if controlled by upstairs, is placed in this unit was very noisy itself. I was looking forward to using the outdoor spaces for work while my son played ball, this was not really possible when upstairs was rented. I do believe the unit is rentable, but the description needs to be updated to reflect the actual space with its limitations. Ultimately, it is very clean, well stocked, and Beth is very responsive. I hope this is helpful.

Awesome Little Studio

Beth and her husband are wonderful host. We arrived at our place and it was definitely bigger than expected as stated by another guest. We were here for a baseball tournament and very close to what we needed. The kitchen had all the essentials needed for cooking. A very quaint place. The only thing I might suggest if you are planning on sleeping on the sofa Futon you might consider an air mattress.

If you want access to the Lake Point spot complex, this place is perfect. Very quiet neighborhood and literally 7 minutes from the facility.

Beth is gracious, communicative, and imparted useful knowledge of the surrounding area.

The studio exceeded our expectations. It is bigger than it's made out to be in the pictures and included a washer and dryer. The kitchen was well equipped to cook a decent portion of meals and Beth is a phone call away to answer any questions and/or accommodate any requests. The best experience I've had so far she felt like a friend doing us a favor, not an owner (as VRBO calls it) making a deal.

Awesome Studio & Host

Really nice studio .. good location with plenty of places to chose for grocery shopping . Near a marina and lake . Awesome hosts with great communication. Big enough for 2 to cook ... relax and get dome rest . I will definitely consider this location again in the future when we are in Atlanta.

Very clean pet friendly studio apt close to Lake Point Sports Complex

Positive - We were lucky enough to find this pet friendly unit at the last minute for a baseball tournament. It was a new unit and everything was spotless clean and very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. There were a lot of excellent restaurants near by that we enjoyed. Negative - the unit was in the basement of another rental and the heat and air was controlled by the people renting the upstairs unit. Beth did call and ask them to turn the air down as it was 65 in our unit. They did but only for that first night then they turned it back. We had a few nights that the people upstairs were up very late and we could hear them and their large dog running around. To get to the unit you have to walk thru a double car garage that is used for storage, not at all what we expected by looking at the pictures online. The pictures of the outside and the back yard area are of the upstairs unit that you share with them. We did not use the firepit or grill during our stay.

Spacious studio. Convenient to everything.

My husband, son and I were in town for a baseball tournament and were very pleased with this studio. Beth thought of everything, right down to the salt and pepper shakers. The studio is brand new, so it is very clean and smells just like a cabin in the woods. The kitchen is fully loaded with pots, pans, mixing bowls, plates, utensils, coffee maker, microwave ... just everything you could ever need during your stay. We felt very safe in the quiet neighborhood and it's close to downtown Acworth where they have really cute shops and a fabulous restaurant, Henry's Louisiana grill (casual dining but be sure to make reservations because it is very popular). The studio is close to the highway, so you can get to other places in the area quickly. Red Top Mountain state park is about 10 minutes away and allows leashed dogs for free. Just before the entrance to the park we found a jetty for fishing with beautiful views of the lake. We are looking forward to our next visit. Hopefully next time we'll have time to take a swim in the lake.
