We had multiple family gathering for our daughter's wedding in LA. We had, at one point, 9 people in the house and didn't feel on top of one another, lots of room. I think the pictures don't quite do justice to how lovely this home is. We loved the master bedroom and bath, and it has its own little deck. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were indeed comfortable. We put the early risers in the loft, but honestly, we were so on the go that we were all exhausted each night. The street is VERY quiet, practically no traffic and no noise. Lovely sheets and pillows on the beds too, everyone slept well. The rooftop deck does not have views, but what a nice oasis for sun, chitchat and relaxation. You should be aware, this is the 3rd floor + 4th for the loft and deck. A lot of stairs, which is why we had the elderly and wheelchair-bound guests at two of many nearby hotels.
The beach is only a block away, and a very quiet beach, although we didn't see it over the weekend. A few blocks away, at Pacific and Washington is a Starbucks, a small market, a fun, loud Mexican bar & restaurant and a really great Italian restaurant. Just make sure if you make reservations at C&O Cucino everyone is there as you will not be seated until they are, but the food is worth it. There is a small inside and it's mostly open-air. We just found everything we needed walking. But there is a Ralph's supermarket within a 5 minute drive. Very quick getting to the Marina as well, we have family living there so it was very simple seeing them too.
Overall I gave this house 5 stars as we were quite pleased with it. Didn't have to bother Frank, but he seems like the type who would be attentive should a problem arrive. We may check out his place in Turtle Bay on the North Shore of Oahu as we've been to the hotel a few times and would enjoy trying a villa.
Have fun, and rent this house, you won't regret it, unless you hate stairs, ha!
