Hey Kathy we're sorry you didn't have a 5-star stay, we do strive for top-notch guest experiences in our home. That said, given that we're real folks not a big hotel we must respectfully respond to a few points in your review: - - Unlike most FL beach condo bldgs we have an on-site mgmt team and supervised cleaning crew (as you know). Cleanliness issues from your month stay aside, if there were any such concerns when you arrived (i.e. grit in the track of a sliding door right on the beach) one message to us or the property mgr would've immediately addressed them. - - Our on-site support team reports any damages in the unit after each stay so we can repair and/or alert future guests (hence the sign we left you on the double patio door, which does work on one side). There was absolutely no record of a broken dining bench before your stay. - - To that point about the bench, it's also worth mentioning that you violated the rental agreement by having additional, non-approved guests at the unit. This violation of VRBO rules is charge-worthy, but the bigger point is the rules help us manage potential maintenance issues. - - Finally, we do not advertise having a washer/dryer in our unit. Which you know b/c we corresponded about it. So why ding us in a review? Many people ask before they book and most are fine with our clean, accessible laundry room by the pool...but for those who aren't, they simply book another property. Which we understand and respect. We do appreciate your positive comments about how lovely the property is. Being "toes in sand" on a barrier island surrounded by palm trees means an occasional palmetto bug might enter when the patio door is repeatedly left open, but most beach lovers we host know this so no response needed there. Again, we're sorry we won't be adding you to our list of happy, repeat guests but we do wish you best of luck in your future travels!
