Di recente costruzione, ma sapore vintage utilizzando materiali di recupero a livello locale, con tutti i comfort moderni ti piace - biancheria di lusso su un letto king, credenza antica, grande illuminazione e ventilatori a soffitto con telecomandi in tutto, angolo scrivania completamente attrezzata in camera da letto grande, soffici accappatoi e asciugamani da bagno , cabina doccia, altezza comodità WC (tutti ADA amichevole), travertino e antichi pavimenti in rovere, cucina completamente attrezzata con elettrodomestici inox e granito, antico tavolo da pranzo in rovere con imbottita in pelle sedie, verande coperte anteriore e posteriore con barbecue all'aperto & grandi posti a sedere per osservare la fauna selvatica - il tutto su una cascina storica tedesca ai margini del centro storico di Fredericksburg, Bella camino a legna roccia nel soggiorno per le serate fredde, ma un fuoco accogliente finto brucia durante il periodo estivo, anche! TV via cavo e wifi gratuito, insieme a caffè, panna e creamers aromatizzati, tè e spuntini per rendere il vostro soggiorno confortevole in questo ADA rifugio accogliente. This cottage is out of the busyness of Fredericksburg very relaxing setting on the patio viewing 1500 acres of countryside. Owners were very pleasant. Plenty of room parking your car. Property was excellent clean organized so many amenities. I will definitely stay there again.

This is a little slice of heaven. It is furnished with everything that is in my home. Recliner chairs are inside and on the patio with a Weber grill. The coffee pot is Cuisinart programmable one with 3 kinds of coffee. There is a nice variety of snacks and juices. The large shower has a teakwood bench. We loved enjoying our coffee and cocktails on the patio while we watched the pampered deer. The hosts provided the corn to feed the deer. This is our second visit and we will return.

We had a wonderful stay at this Fredericksburg property! The location was perfect, close to everything in town while still feeling peaceful and relaxing. One of our favorite parts was sitting on the back porch and watching the deer wander by just a few feet away. It made for a great Hill Country experience.The hosts were fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and made us feel right at home. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fredericksburg!

The house was immaculate inside and out. All the rooms were clean and tidy. The snacks left by the host was a nice welcome gift. The place was central to all our activities and the added early morning and late evening visits by deer was an added bonus. We will definitely want to visit this house in the near future.

The cottage was amazing. You truly felt welcome from the moment you walked in. The wildlife in the back were fun to watch. The deer are definitely used to people feeding them. The patio was awesome to sit on when not out exploring the area.

The cottage was very clean and there were many amenities. There were lots of deer, hummingbirds and some foxes right off the back porch. The deer came up to be fed all the time and it is very cool to watch them. Lynn and Jerry were great hosts and I would recommend this cottage to everyone. We plan on coming back around October time frame and rent it again.

Here’s a heartfelt review you could post:We absolutely loved our stay here! From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect getaway. The property was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed to feel right at home.The views were incredible and easily one of our favorite parts of the trip. Every morning and evening we found ourselves just sitting outside, taking it all in. Seeing the deer come right up to the fence was such a peaceful and memorable experience—it really made the stay feel special and gave us a true Hill Country experience.The home was comfortable, well-equipped, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. It was clear the owners put a lot of care into making sure guests have a wonderful experience.If you’re looking for a relaxing place to unwind while still being close to everything Fredericksburg has to offer, this is it. We love the serene back porch and daily visits from the whitetail deer and birds of many kinds! Meanwhile, it’s a short drive (6 minutes tops) to the food and shopping that make Fredericksburg the fun place it is. The hosts create a special atmosphere with seasonal decor, spotless kitchen and snacks and tons of information about the area. We love the Cottage on Spotted Fawn!
The deer come in ar dawn and dusk to enjoy corn that’s provided by the hosts. Peaceful entertainment!

A love of history compelled the owners to purchase this historic German homestead in 2007. Both owners were originally from the Panhandle of Texas, and both were lovers of antiques, so property called out to them for a full restoration, and the final step in that process was the construction of this beautiful and comfortable guest house on a private corner of the property.

The man who built the German limestone home on this property, Jacob Neffendorf, was one of the original surveyors of the Fredericksburg townsite. Later, he returned as on of the first 120 settlers who founded Fredericksburg in May 1846. This property is on Outlot 319, as designated by the German Immigration Society, and the new owners were able to secure a Texas Historic Marker for the property in May 2012. A full copy of the research for the Marker, with photos and maps, is available for guests to enjoy in the Cottage - old world charm and history meet modern amenities and luxury on a historic German farmstead! Your visit is "contactless", and includes meal coupons!

The property contains many original components of the German farmstead - the rock-lined, hand-dug well always has water, the three-legged Aeromotor windmill is in its original location near the Cottage, a Roos block tank house with a rock tank on top supplied the two-story rock homestead with water beginning in the 1920s. The original rock lined cellar and smokehouse are on the property, too. All these unique and historic features can be enjoyed by Cottage guests, along with their spacious, luxurious quarters and their private views of the 1,500 acre ranch behind the homestead.
